loemandfinn says "The Wii is fun for every member of the family." about Nintendo Wii Console

We got our Wii Game Console last August and have loved playing it. My seven-year-old son plays it the most often. I feel like even though he is playing video games, he is getting a bit of exercise because he's up and moving with the controller. My husband loves to play Guitar Hero and the Wii Sports. I have Wii Fit and don't have a lot of good things to say about it. It is not a very difficult workout so I never really break a sweat. My four-year-old daughter loves to play Wii Sports bowling and she's actually pretty good at it. My parents have even come over to play it. It truly is a game system for everyone in the family. I was really anti-video game but the Wii has changed my mind. One rule we adhere to is a set time limit to playtime.

One of the drawbacks is that the individual games are really expensive. Most of them are $50.00 so you aren't buying a new game every month. My kids only get new games at Christmas or for birthdays.
...

loemandfinn says "This is my third summer living in my Crocs Mary Janes!" about Crocs - Mary Jane (womens and kids)

I bought my first pair of Crocs Mary Janes to wear for a trip to New York City where we would be doing a ton of walking. They passed the NYC test with flying colors! My feet were comfortable even after hours and miles of walking the New York City streets. I've since purchased 2 more pairs of Crocs Mary Janes. I have a pair of chocolate brown and a pair of navy blue. They are so easy to clean - just run them under water and dry. I purchased a Crocs Butter pad to shine them up as well and they really look as good as new after many months of wearing them. My four-year-old loved mine so much that I got her a pair this summer as well! My original pair has now worn out so I'm sending them back to Crocs to recycle - what a great "green" program. I love they way they feel, how lightweight they are, how your feet get a funky tan when you wear them, how they are easy to clean, and how cute they are. One drawback is that they get very slippery when they get wet.
...

loemandfinn says "Kirkland Signature formula is just as good as the name brands." about Kirkland Signature Infant Formula with Iron

I switched from the name brand formulas to the Kirkland Signature Infant Formula with Iron found at Costco for my just turned one-year-old. The price was obviously one of the main reasons for making the switch. I can get two cans of formula for the price of one. Infant formulas are regulated by the government, so you can rest assured that the ingredients in the Kirkland Signature brand from Costco are the same ingredients that are in the name brand formulas. I found that my baby had no idea that it was a different formula. When making bottles, it shakes up nicely and there are no chunks of powder left in the bottle when he is finished. We have been using it off and on since he was born. The only drawback is that it is hard to find the scoop in the powder when you first open the can. I have found myself shaking the can to find it and then spilling some of it on the floor. I would definitely recommend this formula to a friend.
...

loemandfinn says "The Casio Exilim EX-S10 takes great still photos and videos." about Casio - Exilim Card EX-S10 Digital Camera

I am quite fickle about my digital cameras. The Casio Exilim EX-S10 is the fifth digital camera I have owned in the past 7 years. I bought the camera to take still digital shots of my three children, as well as videos that I can upload to my computer or burn to DVD. The camera was easy to use right out of the box, but the user's manual was terrible. There were too many languages on each page so it was very confusing and there was not nearly enough information. I was able to get more information from a friend who owns that camera than from the manual. The camera takes fantastic pictures - easy to use - basically just point-and-shoot. The video is very easy to use - simply push the video button to turn it on and off and replay on the large screen is also very easy. I thought the price was a good value for a camera that takes still and video pictures. I do not use the software that came with the camera. I use Picasa software for photo viewing and editing instead.
...

loemandfinn says "The Step 2 Arctic Splash Water Table is indoor AND outdoor fun!" about Step 2 Arctic Splash Water Table

We bought the Arctic Splash Water Table from Step 2 for my third child for his first birthday. It was very easy to put together (no tools required). It has vibrant colors and a cute underwater theme. The day of the party it wasn't warm enough to use outside, so he played with it inside without any water in it and loved it! My four and a half-year-old daughter and her three-year-old friend also had a ball playing with it. It comes with several squirting toys and they also put other toys in it to play with. It is the perfect heighth for my one-year-old who isn't walking but can hold onto it or cruise around it to play. The only drawback is that the icebergs that stack on it do not snap in place so they have a tendency to fall off of the table and the kids can't get them back in place. I'm planning to put water in it and use it outside this summer and bring it in on rainy days to use inside with toys.
...

loemandfinn says "I loved these because it was easy clean-up and BPA free." about Playtex Drop-Ins Original Nurser Baby Bottle

I used the Playtex 8 oz. nursers with the Playtex Drop-Ins liners that expand to 10 ozs. for my third child. I started out with both the latex and silicone nipples in slow-flow. While I liked both types of nipples, it was irritating to have to hand-wash the latex nipples. I was used to putting all parts of the bottle in the dishwasher in a bottle basket with my other two children. When he was about 5 months old, we switched to the fast-flow nipples and liked them as well. I really liked the easy clean-up with these bottles. You just drop the liner into the bottle and then throw the liner away when you're finished. As I mentioned above, I handwashed the nipples and nipple rings, and then put the bottles in the dishwasher. I felt like there wasn't much air getting into baby's belly with the liners. I was very glad that these bottles were BPA-free and I specifically bought them because of this.
...

loemandfinn says "The Chicco KeyFit is great for a bigger baby!" about Chicco KeyFit

I bought the orange and grey Chicco KeyFit carseat for my third child because of the great safety reviews it got. My baby was 9 lbs., 2 ozs. at birth so I was very thankful that it went to 30 lbs. so we were able to use it until he was eight months old. I found the seat to be very easy to install (we have a van with captain's chairs) with LATCH and easy to get the baby in and out of. It was also easy to adjust the straps when he had on a heavier coat. The only complaint that I have about the seat is that it was quite heavy, but I think most infant carriers are fairly heavy. The seat also fit nicely into the front of shopping carts at many different stores. I also bought the Chicco Trevi stroller to use the infant seat with and it snapped in easily to the stroller. I recommended this carseat to many people and would recommend it over again. I felt that it was a little pricey, but in the end, worth the money for the safety features that it offered.
...
