liz0311 says "Great stuff!" about Neutrogena Deep Clean Cream Cleanser

I have been using this product for one week, and have not had a single blemish since I started using it. It leaves my face feeling tingly, soft, and completely non-oily...not to mention clearer than it's ever been....

liz0311 says "Very comprehensive supplement" about Centrum Multivitamins and Multimineral Supplements

I recently ran out of the generic vitamins I'd been using for months, and went to my grocery store to compare available multivitamins. After 10 minutes studying the shelves, I opted not to buy a more 'specialized' supplement, and instead to go with Centrum. I got a 3-month supply for only $10--much less than many of the other options would have cost. And there are 33 listed vitamins and minerals in these supplements...which makes me pretty sure I'm getting what I need, regardless of my less-than-perfect diet....

liz0311 says "Soft, soft soft!" about Pampers Baby Dry Diapers

I switched to the Pampers Baby-Dry diapers after the Huggies diapers began to chafe my son's legs. I absolutely love how soft Pampers are! The stretchy side tabs are great for getting a snug fit, and the softer material they are made of allows for baby to move around without any skin irritation.

We have had a few leaks with these diapers, but they have happened during the night, after 6-8 hours of sleep...which is pretty much unavoidable unless you have a baby that doesn't roll around, or you use overnight diapers. The Pampers seem to be slightly less absorbent than the Huggies were, but I prefer to change my son's diapers frequently anyway, to prevent diaper rashes...so it's usually not that big a factor. I don't think I'm using any more diapers than I would with a more absorbent type, and I wouldn't mind it if I was. It's worth it to me to avoid the discomfort caused by 'rougher' diapers whenever my son moved around.
...

liz0311 says "Not the best for an active baby" about Huggies Diapers (All Sizes)

I switched to Huggies after Pampers Swaddlers disappointed me (they soaked right through). I was very pleased with the absorbency, and used them until my son was about 4 months old. At that point, he was already beginning to get up on his hands and knees, and had been rolling both ways for a month. The fact that he moved around so much caused the diapers to chafe badly around his legs. I ended up switching back to Pampers Baby-Dry when he got up to Size 3, and have not had a problem with the chafing since. However, I do think that the Huggies are more absorbent than Pampers....

liz0311 says "Best parenting site out there" about Baby Center

mhew's review is incredibly thorough and accurate. BabyCenter is by far the most comprehensive, extensive parenting website and community I have come across--and I joined or browsed dozens while I was pregnant and after having my son. I receive the weekly email updates, and frequently follow the links to articles on the website. BabyCenter is my first resource when I want information related to parenting and babies.

The bulletin board section of BabyCenter is perhaps my favorite feature. BabyCenter offers hundreds of boards based on topics ranging from parenting styles to age-specific development, as well as "birth club" boards for parents of babies born each month. The board hosts are wonderful at encouraging healthy, respectful discussions, and are chosen partially for their knowledge of a board's specific topic (such as "Development: 3 to 6 months", "Homemade baby food", or "Attachment Parenting"). The boards are a wonderful place for both new and experienced parents to share......

liz0311 says "Wonderful product" about Evenflo Snugli

I received an Evenflo Snugli as a gift from my mother before my son was born. I used it for the first time when he was only a week old, because I had to travel by bus to a medical appointment quite far from my house. Even when he was that young, the Snugli was secure enough that I didn't have to worry about him being too small...and now that he is 5 months old, facing outward, he still fits comfortably in it.

I also love the multiple points at which you can adjust the fit of the carrier; my boyfriend and I both use it, and have found the necessary adjustments to be quick and easy. I expect to use this carrier for at least a few more months, depending on how big my son gets. So far, I haven't experienced any back pain as a result of using the carrier, and it's been a lifesaver for both my back and arms on days when my son doesn't want to be put down!
...

liz0311 says "Great camera for the price" about Nikon - COOLPIX 5600

I received this camera as a gift from my parents, who want frequent pictures of their new grandson. It's an inexpensive model, and therefore I was pleasantly surprised to find that it takes videos as well as still pictures. The autofocus is a little tricky, especially if your subject moves at all, and the accuracy of color in the photos suffers if you are not using natural light (i.e., sunlight). The color accuracy is even worse in artificial light when you are using the video function.

However, for an inexpensive camera, this model has served me well, and the photo size/quality (5+ megapixels) is pretty good for the price.
...

liz0311 says "Very fast, very effective" about Desitin Diaper Rash Cream

I absolutely love this product. My son is 5 1/2 months old, and I bought Desitin Creamy before he was born. I have only had to use it 5 times--for minor diaper rash, and once for chafing from his diaper--and never two days in a row. I've never had a problem with it rubbing off; every time I applied it, I would see it on his skin through a few diaper changes, and by the next day, the rash or irritation was gone. I haven't tried a lot of diaper rash products, because this is the only one I've ever needed....

liz0311 says "Wonderful laptop for the price" about Acer EXTENSA

I just got the same laptop from Best Buy, and paid the same amount (including tax). It is wonderful. I have used the Crystal Eye webcam so that my mother can see her grandson (she lives 3000 miles away), and have had no problems with any programs shutting down. It comes with 2GB of memory, a 160GB hard drive, a DVD writer, and Windows Vista Home Premium. I haven't used the E-Technology at all, nor am I a hardcore gamer or someone who demands ridiculous performance levels for graphics, etc....but for everyday use by a computer addict, I'm incredibly pleased with this product.

(I'm afraid to launch the GridVista in case I can't get it off either, but have you tried Ctrl+Alt+Del and ending the program through Task Manager?)
...

liz0311 says "Disappointing" about Pampers Swaddlers Diapers

The only time I used Pampers Swaddlers was when we were sent home from the hospital with a few packages of them. By the time Coby was a few days old, they were leaking. Whenever he had a wet or dirty diaper, I could feel the moisture on the outside of the diaper!

I switched to Huggies until he hit Size 3, and now use Pampers Baby-Dry (because they are softer)...but I would never recommend the Swaddlers.
...

liz0311 says "Defies expectations" about Transformers

My boyfriend and I ended up watching this movie because it came out on the day my son was born. I expected it to be an effects-filled movie with an incredibly weak plot...but we were both pleasantly surprised. Transformers turned out to be a very successful development on the cartoon series from when I was little, and managed to be true to the themes and general idea of that series while simultaneously providing a more "grown-up" approach to the whole idea. The movie manages to provide entertainment for both adults and younger viewers, without presenting the common problem of mixing in content inappropriate for children. I'd definitely watch it again, and I look forward to the day when my son is old enough to watch (and remember!) it himself....
