Our first purchase was an off-brand and we are happy with it, but once we had the new Polaroid hooked up to DVD, cable, it has better pic and much better sound.  We got a good deal on this tv (after thanksgiving sale) so it evens out what I overpayed on the first tv.  Should have gotten the Polaroid the first go round!...
