lenny22 says "great vacuum for large uncluttered expanses" about Royal RY7500 Bagged Upright Vacuum

Ahh, the quest for the ultimate vacuum.

It is as elusive as the holy grail.

My wife's passion is a tidy, immaculate house and anything that might help achieve this must be bought and tried out (this vacuum being one of several we currently have in the house).

It really is a terrific vacuum and does the job well. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a behemoth that was terribly unwieldy to manage by my petite wife and so I am left to do the vacuuming, indefinitely. On the plus side, this then makes me the most qualified to review it of the two.

Of all the vacuums we have had through the years this one handles the best (especially for it's size). For being such a monster it is remarkably easy to handle and there really is no pushing involved as it almost seems to push itself. Corners and under sofas of course are an impossibility and require the use of attachments but as a whole (and only if you don't have stairs) this will prove to be a good buy.

Do not, under any circumstances, purchase...
...

lenny22 says "Great ingredients and terrific smell" about Boudreaux's Butt Paste Diaper Rash Cream

We had never had to deal with a diaper rash until a very unfortunate experiment with a different diaper brand.

Our granddaughter had what looked like a third degree burn. It was just awful and I'm sure she would attest that it hurt as much as it looked. My daughter is very into natural things and shops at places where she pays triple because it is "organic" and so we didn't really want to "medicate" without her permission. My wife came back with this and we tried some on the baby. It was almost instant. She stopped squirming and seeing the good effects we decided to, of course, add more cream. We must have gobbed on at least a third of the tube and the child was in bliss (as were we by this time).

It also smells heavenly. Not at all like a chemical artificial smell but like something natural and delicious like vanilla or a pie in the oven. My daugher was thrilled we hadn't put "pharmaceuticals" on the child and everyone was happy.

lenny22 says "Fantastic value for money" about Target Brand Diapers

We are doting grandparents and have our daughter and granddaughter stay with us for the summer.

These diapers are absolutely the best. We tried most of the other name brands like Pampers or Luvs( Luvs was a catastrophe..see review) and couldn't find better diapers than these.

They have great stretchy tabs that conform to the baby and they don't have artificial scent that can irritate the baby's skin. We never had a diaper rash when we were faithful to these!

One of the best things about these has got to be the price. We sure like to spoil the kids and would buy her the premium diapers if they were better. We really cannot see why Pampers are so expensive when Target has managed to make terrific diapers at a fraction of the cost. We would rather spend the money on passes to the Zoo or taking the family on vacation.

These are a terrific diaper choice not only for the price but also for the quality you get. Don't pay more.
...

lenny22 says "The gel liner caused an angry red rash" about Luvs Diapers

Our granddaugher is now mostly potty trained but for long trips orr when her mama takes her to see her father abroad diapers are a Godsend.

We usually stick to the Target brand ( see other review) or Pampers when those aren't available. This was an impulse buy to see if there was any thing better out there. The ones we bought had a blue gel liner that is supposed to prevent leaking. What it did do was give the little pixie a horrible rash. She had never had a rash before and it sent us all scrambling to find something to soothe her with. We ended up using aloe while my wife ran to the store to get some diaper rash cream (other review).

Never again. I'm sure it won't do this to all children, as Luvs would be out of business, but to our little one it was a catastrophe. We promptly bought her the usual brand and she has never had a rash since. We suspect it was the chemicals in the blue liner but, of course, can't be completely sure.

lenny22 says "Great fo the kids and the old folks too" about CuisinArt Ice Cream Maker - ICE 20

This was actually a gift. Neither my wife nor I have any inkling about how to make Ice cream. Which was just as well as this machine is very easy to use. We have a two year old granddaughter in the house and she loves getting to act grown up and helping in the kitchen. This is perfect to share with the kids. Even the toddlers can join in the fun.

My daughter had wanted to make all kinds of fancy ice cream in this thing like Chai, and Pumpkin Latte and the like and I'm sure it will be great for those exotic things too. We just made old fashioned strawberry after a day at the U-pick farm and rewarded ourselves with this treat. It's great for the kids to learn where things actually come from. I'm sure you will never go back to store bought afterward. The little pixie refuses any ice cream she has not personally made herself.

This is a great machine for oneself but is even better when having a dinner party or spending time with family.

Highly recommend.

lenny22 says "They work..but ouch factor is high" about Crest Whitestrips Premium 7 Day

I'm truly not interested in my good looks but my daughter recommended and then purchased these for me and I'm a sucker for my girls and find myself doing the oddest things for them.

I promised I would try them as I have a partial and the rest of my teeth didn't match the gleaming chiclet ( their words ..not mine). It was actually painful. At first I thought perhaps I had done it incorrectly but subsequent tries also delivered the same result. It felt at first just a little irritating , like eating a pineapple that is very acidic, but then it was just a full onslaught. I did not ( or rather...could not) keep it on for the desired amount of time specified on the box. However, the little things worked. My teeth are visibly whiter and in no small degree either. That being said, they have white stripes that though not really noticeable are still detectable up close.

The product works albeit at a painful price.
...

lenny22 says "Would be 5 stars if the granddaughter actually liked it!" about Evenflo Triumph Advance

This seat was bought for our granddaughter who is staying with us for the summer. My wife, daughter and I reviewed all kinds of different carseats. My daughter has an Eddie Baur Convertible Carseat that she loves very much but the Local Target wasn't carrying it and we found all kinds of great reviews for this Evenflo carseat and decided everryone couldn't be wrong.

It arrived, and looked very plush and comfortable and we were patting ourselves on the back thinking how safe and "deluxe" it was . Put, the little one in the seat and lo and behold.....the poor miss hates the chair. The pillow that is attached behind the head of the child is very awkward and holds their head out at an unnatural angle. We have tried to adjust it but every adjustment has tended to make things worse. The worst part is seeing her poor little head bobbing about and her eyes fly open when she is trying to sleep.

A pity one can't actually try these out before buying.
...

lenny22 says "Disapointing" about Oster 12-Speed Blender - 6802

We bought this as a temporary replacement until my wife could decide on whether she would like a food processor, juicer..etc.

I should have known that might take a while and spent a little more money on our temp blender. This blender does not blend uniformly, refuses to start up at times and is downright scary. Even when you hold it down it moves sideways...all over the place!!!

On a positive note, it comes apart rather easily for cleaning and is plastic instead of glass so it doesn't weigh as much as our old one. I've dropped it, personally, several times and gave thanks that it wasn't made of glass.

As a whole, I wish we would have opted for something a little more substantial. If you only use it occasionally, I'm sure this will work just fine but we have our granddaughter here for the summer and she loves smoothies. It just can't hold up to that kind of use ( or, rather, abuse).
