leahjane says "What a bargain - great faculty and unlimited opportunity" about Tennessee Technological University

I attended TTU from August 2004 until May 2007 when I graduated with a Bachelors in Business Administration. I majored in Accounting and was extremely happy with the quality of the education I received. It's a small to mid size university - many of my classes were under 20 or so students and the faculty were always very responsive and easy to communicate with. It was very easy to become involved in university functions, and there were many programs available to students that I found very helpful.

TTU has an excellent career center that allows students to learn more about interviewing and defining a path for life after college. Workshops were held on a regular basis to go over resume writing, interviewing, etiquette, and other aspects of becoming ready to hit the job market with your best face forward. I feel very lucky to have the experiences I gained while attending the university, and would highly recommend it to prospective students.
...

leahjane says "The only show worth watching" about Lost

This is the best show I have ever seen. Each episode adds another twist that you never see coming - it really is unbelievable. I have watched faithfully since season one and am now the proud owner of all three seasons.

The only real "con" that I would apply to the show is that it can become somewhat addictive at times. I have spent hours watching people on youtube talk about their Lost Theories and researching obscure facts on Lostepedia. When they started the Hanso stuff in season 2 I literally stayed online for a week trying to figure it all out.

The show has everything - suspense, likeable characters, characters we love to hate, and moments of absolute hilarity and wonder. Five Stars & Two Thumbs Up!!
...

leahjane says "Fuel efficient & comfortable - good car for anyone!" about Nissan Sentra - 2007

I bought this car in September 2007, and have been completely satisfied so far. I love the interior & the overall look of the car, and since it's so small, I am able to maneuver around very well in traffic.

My favorite feature is that it shows the fuel economy statistics as you are driving - you can see how many miles per gallon you are getting, what your average speed is, and how many miles you can drive without pumping more gas. I guess a lot of cars probably have that now, but it was new to me and I absolutely love it.

I average about 28 miles per gallon, and I don't think I've ever seen the reading go below 26 - the highest is over 30! I paid $15,700 for the car at the dealer, which seemed very affordable to me, since it was brand new. I would recommend this for anyone!
...

leahjane says "The best yard sale out there" about Craigslist

I love this website - I have gotten so many great things from ads I've found on craigslist. My best find was a free Lazy Boy couch that was in great shape, and only a couple of miles away! Other finds have included a mattress set and a cell phone.

Another great thing about the web site is being able to post free ads for stuff you don't want anymore - I have sold a blender, a rug, and my car!

I think the most important thing this site does is allow users to flag ads for removal. This keeps spammers away very effectively.
...

leahjane says "Get pulled into the world of Stephen King" about The Gunslinger

If you have never read a book by Stephen King, don't read this. There is no way anyone would be able to appreciate the vast intricacies of each character and plot twist that King seems to throw in with ease and subtlety.

King readers who have not read this yet - stop reading this review, and go buy it NOW. This is the first book of the Dark Tower series and an absolute must read! Be forewarned, the next six books will quickly take priority over just about everything else in your life.

King's ability to include so many characters and details from other works, coupled with the length of time it took him to finish the series is just amazing. I can think of no better word to describe this book - simply amazing. While reading this book I was thrown back into other books of his that I haven't touched in years - Desperation, It, just to name a couple. King's writing is flawless - I have a newfound respect for him after reading this book.
...
