laundryduchess says "Our Dream Truck, buying a twin in the spring " about Chevrolet Silverado - 2007

We traded in a 1998 4x4 "slightly modified" (12 inch cognito suspension lift, 38" trexus tires, atlas springs, 513 gears, made to play in the snow, sand or mud but still street legal) black extended cab 1/2 ton on our new 2007 crew cab silverado powered by the duramax and allison. =-) OMG, wowsers just doesnt quite cover it. The comfort of the truck, the ease of use. The roomy interior. I just cant say enough. We travel with 4 children, aged 16-6, and a dog 3-4 weekends a month 9 months each year. We pull a 24 foot camper and do not even know its back there. We have the burgandy red with the dark gray interior. While I wish the tires were more agressive, I think Im just used to the ones on the old truck. I strongly suggest this truck. Its strong, tough, and a dream to drive. We havent modified it at all, other than tinting the windows and adding a sprayed in bedliner. I really dont think we will need to. The truck is perfect. Even for the price. That is the only......

laundryduchess says "a waste of money for no benefit I can see" about Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottle

When a new product comes out I try to review it and decide if I should incorporate it into my program. This bottle fell to the bottom of my list quite quickly. I have tried it with 7 babies so far. Aged 6 weeks to 13 months. None showed less gas, spitting up, or fussiness than when fed with a standard bottle with brown natural nipple. It was also a pain to assemble and clean. When I put the liquid in, then the powder, and stuck in the straw, it seems like the powder would always get in the straw, that was a pain. A lot of people think the babies swallow air when it comes into the bottle through the hole the baby is trying to eat out of. What they do not realize is that the air comes from between the collar and rim of the bottle. The tighter you screw on the collar, the harder the baby has to suck to get it out. They make nipples with vents for that reason. If your baby's bottle is sucking air through the hole intended for allowing the milkk to come out, it is on......
