      <description>&lt;p&gt;I have experienced several online educational programs, as both a student and an instructor, and Ashford would most definitely be at the bottom of the list. For the first couple of courses, I was happy with the university, except for the truly horrible &quot;Blackboard&quot; technology. However, this was the first 5 period it had been in use, and, even though it caused me hours in re-writes and computer crashes, I decided to overlook the difficulties. &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Then the problems started cropping up. Hidden fees, poor student loan terms, and unexpected textbook costs (because you could only buy their &quot;special&quot; editions&quot; were the beginning. I next ran into poor communications with instructors. Other than a few discussion questions commented on and grades received, the instructors were invisible. This could be due to the HUGE class sizes (compared to better institutions). &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;The final straw came when I started yet another overpriced course and saw that it had the exact same format as the&#160;others. I think the instructors...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>
