ladyslew says "Yeah it's fast, but the customer service sucks." about Comcast High Speed ISP

Comcast does have very fast Internet - when it works. When it doesn't work, you have to keep calling customer service over and over until you get a tech who actually knows what they are doing. Even if you do get an intelligent tech, it's not likely your problem will be solved. More likely you'll end up waiting weeks on end for somebody to come out and replace burried cable or other equipment outside your home. Comcast never replaces anything until it actually breaks....

ladyslew says "I will never switch!" about T-Mobile

I can't say enough good things about T-Mobile. I have never had a problem with their customer service. Reception is fantastic - more bars in more places than Cingular that's for sure. The price is good compared to other carriers too. I always tell everyone to get T-Mobile....

ladyslew says "If only I had another high speed internet choice I'd dump them!" about Comcast - Cable Company

Comcast doesn't even begin to know the meaning of the word customer service. Every time I have to deal with them it's a major hassle. Their equipment is often faulty, and their cable lines are frequently needing replaced - which always takes far longer than reasonable. The price is high too. If I had any other choice for high speed Internet where I live I would definitely drop Comcast like a hot potato!...

ladyslew says "Doesn't give you the points you've earned." about FreeRide

FreeRide is a membership program where you earn Tokens by shopping, taking surveys, reading emails, etc. Tokens are redeemed for gift certificates for things like restaurants, Amazon, or Walmart. Or you can get prizes like t-shirts.

For over two months I have been trying to deal with a Ms. Suzanne Pinder, Customer Support Manager, on an issue of not getting my 6500 Tokens for 2 instances of shopping via emails sent by FreeRide. Ms. Pinder agrees that I did complete the offer. She claims that there is a problem the technical dept. must address before the Tokens can be awarded. But this is taking way too long, and she has stopped answering my emails.

I would strongly suggest avoiding this company.
...

ladyslew says "Great place for a Vegas bargain. " about Tropicana Hotel and Casino Las Vegas - Las Vegas, NV

I love old hotels. I enjoy it when I walk through a vintage revolving door and step onto a vintage marble floor. If I can look up at an ornate ceiling I'm happy - be sure to take the time to look up when you're at the Tropicana! I want to see more warm real wood and less cold metal. That said, if you've ever been there, you can see why I liked the Tropicana the minute I walked in the door.

Sure, it's not the fanciest place. It's not modern - but if you want modern you wouldn't even be considering this hotel in the first place. If you're looking for a little part of history, I think this is the last place to find it. And get there fast because they are remodling.

When I stayed here in March 2007 I was in the Island Tower. I thought the room was clean and well maintained. The furnishings were nice, and the bed was comfortable. The room was also quiet. The staff was very courteous.

I enjoyed both shows as well as the gambling, although I must admit I did better at a couple...
...

As a pet rat owner I am concerned about the affects of pine and cedar oils on the health of my pets. Breathing the fumes of pine or cedar chips can be very bad for small animals. That's why I spend the extra money for Carefresh. Plus, it's a green product made from recycled cardboard. The cages smell fresh too....

ladyslew says "You will fall in love with Remy." about Ratatouille

As someone who has kept pet rats for about 6 years now, I can honestly tell you that this film gets it pretty close. Oh sure, they humanize the rats some. Rats rarely take more than 3-4 steps on their hind legs. Rats take food with their mouths and then transfer it to their front paws to hold it while they eat. Other than that, boy do those animated rats act like real rats! When they wak or run on all four that's really the way a real rat looks. The animators did a wonderful job. Oh, and I've even had a rat who liked to ride around on top of my head, though most rats prefer shoulders.

The kitchen is wonderful too. I have a godson who is a professional chef, and he thought that kitchen was very realistic.

Whe you rent to DVD, be sure to watch the short on a history of rats. It's very informative, and cute too. The only thing they leave out is the deadly diseases that rats can catch from humans - strep and SDA. Always wash your hands before and after playing with...
...

ladyslew says "Easy to redeem miles without a lot of restrictions." about Capital One - No Hassle Miles Rewards Card

This card is good for people who have decent but less than perfect credit. As long as your credit score is 640 or higher you should be able to get this card. While there is an annual fee, it's not super high. The interest rate is reasonable too. It's easy to rack up the miles, and easy to redeem them. There's not a lot of restrictions on redemption. I've had this card for 6 years now, and have redeemed miles twice without a hitch....
