ladiekadie says "All I can say is, "WOW!"" about Nip/Tuck

Nip Tuck is so outrageous, I love it. The writer is incredible and his cast supports the plot greatly.

I am never offended by the nudity, lifestyles, language or plots. This show couldn't get better, it just needs to have a longer season in my opinion!
...

ladiekadie says "A disturbing reality of the woman of Afghanistan"" about A Thousand Splendid Suns

From the time I picked up A Thousand Splendid Suns, I was unable to stop reading. The historical writing by, Khaled Hosseini, was amazingly sad, and even with some liberties taken was what I would consider a book of Afghan and other Middle Eastern religious history and the wars that follow.

The choices of the woman and basically nill in this incredible read, and what they endure to protect their lives and their children is off the charts incredible!

I cannot wait to to run out and buy The Kite Runner, also by Khaled Hosseini (an Afghan-American who moved to CA in 1980).
...

ladiekadie says "A necessary evil." about Tamoxifen 20 Mg 60 Pill

II was diagnosed with DCIS (Ductal Carcinoma in-situ) at the age of 39 after having done a self breast exam only 10 months after my mammogram. DCIS is a contained tumor (not spreading) and my type was Estrogen induced. I found what felt like a pea-sized lump close to the surface of my breast. The lump was not painful nor did it move. I immediately saw my OBGYN who referred me to my General surgeon and wrote orders for another mammogram. I was 39, how could I have breast cancer?! Yet, I was one of the luckier ones. Typical treatment for DCIS consists of the following:

1. Partial mastectomy of the infected breast (in essence my breast size in the cancerous breast reduced by only 1 cup size). I opted to have the breast reconstructed during this surgery. My personal choice was not to have implants but to have the uninfected breast made symmetrical to the surgical breast.

2. 5 Years of Tamoxifen therapy (exactly 5 years, not 1, 3 or 6)

3. 7 weeks of radiation treatment...
...

ladiekadie says "Since Dave Longaberger passed the company has failed!" about Longaberger hand made baskets

Since the passing of the creator of Longaberger baskets (Dave Longaberger), the quality, appearance and prices have gone downhill to a horrible fault. I own in excess of 100 baskets and can't even come close to selling them for what I purchased them for. They lose their nice appearence within a year, collect dust to a fault, and are so far overpriced it's rediculous.

I would recommend collectors to hold off of this product unless you're willing to lose money and love to clearn these monster baskets (and trust me, they are far from easy to clean).
...
