kwhipkey says "Works better than any other tweezers I have tried." about Tweezerman Go Green Mini Slant Tweezer

The Tweezerman Go Green Mini Slant Tweezers have been a purchase that I have felt really good with from the start. Yes, they can be a bit pricey, but it is well worth it for how well they work. I found out about this brand of tweezers through my sister-in-law, who let me borrow a pair when staying at her home. This produce works great! They make it easy to get even the finest, tiniest hairs when I am trimming my eyebrows and pulls them out cleanly. I love this travel pair when I am on the road, and of course I enjoy that part of the profit goes to green causes. I do warn others though that you should keep these in a safe place. If you leave them uncovered and go rooting around in your bag for something, the ends are very sharp and can give you quiet a pinch! Never again will I go back to boring dull cheap tweezers from the drugstore that do a terrible job. Tweezerman will be my choice from now on.
...

kwhipkey says "Goes with me everywhere!" about Sigg Water Bottle

I was originally attrached to Sigg waterbottles last year for a few reasons. First, I was not happy with how many plastic bottles I was wasting daily. We do not have a water cooler or even good tap water at my work, and I knew the plastic I was going through (even though I recycle) was not very green. Second, I love how Sigg bottles look. I have a 20oz bottle that I use all the time and the art on it is awesome. I like the 20oz size too because it is easy to carry or fit in a bag or purse. Finally I chose this bottle over some cheaper plastic options out of concern for BPA in them. I have been very happy with my Sigg waterbottle all along. I will admit that when I first started using it I thought the taste of my water was a little off, but I am used to it now. I have never put other beverages in my bottle, but I know you can put other hot and cold bevs in there. The only other downside is they are a bit hard to clean since you are not suppose to put them in the dishwasher. ...
...

kwhipkey says "So worth the price." about Coach purse

In general I have found that Coach purses offer exceptional style and great quality. I personally own two coach purses and I use them ALL the time. They are actually the only purses I ever use any more. Coach tends to have such a classic style that can be dressed up or down. The quality of the leather (as both of mine are) is unbeaten and still looks amazing after a year of serious use. I love how "smart" the bags are with perfectly placed and sized pockets for my cell phone, iPod, and other purse esstentials. Someone obviously put a lot of thought into what a woman wants and needs in her purse. I have yet to meet a person who dislikes their Coach bad (which might be why people often have so many of them!) I know I could go to some cheaper store for a purse or buy a knockoff, but in the end you are just wasting money because you have to replace them all the time! I am planning to continue buying the Coach brand in the future.
...

kwhipkey says "Makes the game even better!" about Parker Brothers Scrabble Deluxe Turntable Edition

The Scrabble Deluxe Turntable Edition was a Christmas gift for me last year and I enjoy playing it all the time. I had recently rediscoverd how much I enjoy this game and was looking for a replacement for the old dented board my family has owned for about 20 years! This edition is awesome! I love how compact it is, which makes it easy to carry anywhere. The drawers stay shut when carrying it making sure all the tiles and holders stay in place. I love how easy it spins (best on a flat service of course) so I don't have to try to read upside-down anymore when looking for words. As a klutz, I also like how the board had indentations for the pieces, so if I bump it the letters don't go flying! The rules are all the same still, so if you liked the original you will like this edition. I have to say too that I like playing the real game more than I like playing the video editions on the iPod. There is something nice about actually using real tiles.
...

kwhipkey says "Catch Phrase is a great family get together game." about Hasbro Catch Phrase Electronic

Catch Phrase has proven to be a great game to play during get togethers with family and friends. I have a lot of friends that dislike classic board and card games, and they really seem to enjoy playing this game. The game piece is easy to use and pass and I like how the timer works so you don't have to always have someone timing like in older games. I do have two problems with the game though. One, if you play frequently you will start to see a lot of repeats. My family played for a long time one evening and was getting frustrated at getting the same clues some times. Also, the rules are not specific enough. There were a few fine points we were arguing when playing that were never mentioned in the rules. It was tough when people got clues they were not familiar with too, but that will happen in any game like this. Overall though, it is a very fun game that will get your group animated with lots of laughter.
...

kwhipkey says "A great looking makeup." about Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation

I bought Rimmel London Stay Matte Foundation after reading about it in Self Magazine. They had picked it as one of their favorite foundations. As a girl who is not very make-up savy and who likes to look like she is not wearing make-up, I was interested by this product. I also suffer from some seriously oily skin and hate how shiney I am in pictures and when I am out. With all this in mind, I bought this product and must say that I really like it. It is easy to apply and blend so I don't look like I am wearing a mask! It really does seem to keep my skin covered most of the day, but it does NOT make me 100% free of shine. I did end up buying the Stay Matte pressed powder also to help with touch ups and I have been happy with the results. Otherwise, it is reasonably priced and easy to find at Target and Wal-Mart. There are not a ton of shades available, but it might just be the stores I am at.
...

I received the The Magic Bullet Blender from my parents as a birthday gift. As I opened it, I thought to myself, "What a random gift." I had seen the ads on TV though, and was excited to try it out. It is so cool! The blender is powerful and so quick. I have used it for everything from smoothies to salsa to grinding cookies to make my own cookie pie crust! Even my boyfriend likes to use it! I like how small it is, making it easier to store than a blender or food processor. The cups are durable and can be put right in the dishwasher, which I love. I like how many recipes there are out the for using it too. Some came with the blender, but I have found books with additional recipes for things like soups and sauces that I would never have thought of. I can't really think about a downside to this product off hand. I would recommend it for any kitchen, espeically one that likes simple and quick.
...

I bought the Under Armour Women's Apparition running shoes right when they came out at the beginning of 2009. When I went to the shoe store, I did not have a certain brand in mind, but just wanted to find something comfortable to run in. I think I tried on about ten pairs of shoes that day, and I ended up going with these because they have a very comfortable fit and are made to help prevent ankle rolling by giving some stabilization. I have terrible ankles, so this was a big selling point to me. I like how the tounge of the shoe is sewn so it does not rotate to the side of the foot like other shoes I have. On top of that, I love how they look. Very cool, even though I am usually not into pink lettering. I have used these shoes frequently for both running and playing sport like volleyball and softball. The only thing I would change is adding a little bit more arch support. Otherwise I reccomend these shoes.
...

The Bounce Dryer Bar is a very cool idea for keeping your clothes soft and fresh. I had never seen anything like this product before seeing it advertised through Viewpoints and I was unsure what to expect when I got it. I made sure to check with my roommates before I stuck it to the inside of the dryer. I am curious about how hard it would be to get the holder unstuck later on. We usually use regular dryer sheets, but due to a bit of laziness and lack of funds we haven't had any in awhile. I am used the dryer bar for about three loads so far and it is awesome! My clothes smell great, but not overpowering, and they are so soft and static free (a big deal to me now that winter is on its way). I love how it will last about two months, so now I don't have to even think about putting a sheet in every time and searching it back out when folding the laundry! It is reasonably priced and I am sure we will get a refill when we are done.
...

The North Face Denali Fleece jacket was a great buy. I got this jacket as a gift recently and I am already in love with it as the weather is starting to get cold. I own this jacket in black and it is perfect for when I am going to the gym as well as when I am going out to dinner. I love that the newest versions of this jacket are made with recycled materials, but I would never had known if the tag didn't tell me. The jacket is warm and soft with tons of great pockets and snaps for fitting it into a out ski shell. The sizing is pretty standard, and one of my only complaints is that the sleeves are a bit baggy (which might be a good thing once I am wear sweaters and other bulky clothing under it). Some versions of this jacket come with a hood, mine does not. It is also a bummer that this jacket is so popular in my area that everyone has it. I suppose this says good things for it though! I would certainly recommend this jacket to anyone who likes to stay warm.
...

I had the chance to use a fabulous Weber S-650 Grill for a few weeks when housesitting for my brother and I am addicted. I really don't think I can ever go back to a cheap run of the mill grill! First, it looks great. Very shiny and impressive! Second, it is so easy to use. I had no problem lighting it, and I have very very little grilling experience. I even managed to change the gas tank once. Third, it is huge! I had no problem throwing tons of veggie packs, burgers, steaks, corn, and buns on there. The large size does make the lid kinda heavy, but I was willing to pay that price. Fourth, it cooks great. Everything cooked very evenly and pretty quick too. Fifth, it was so easy to clean. Just leave it on for a few when done to burn any mess up and brush it down. I didn't use the smoker, but I am sure I would have if I had been there longer! This grill was a joy to use and I miss it now that I am done house sitting. If you have the money to buy this and the...
...

The Topsy Turvey planter was a birthday gift to me from my parents (yes...I asked for it). I live in the city where I have no yard to grow my own veggies. I was hoping this might be a solution that would allow me to grow tomatoes and not take up much space. The fact it hangs was appealing to me so rodents wouldn't get in my plants (the joys of living in the city). When I put my tomato plant in it started growing like crazy over the first few weeks. Although it got big in size, I was disappointed to see that I was not getting any tomatoes other than one that was on the plant when I bought it! Granted, I am thinking now I could have watered it a bit more and maybe fertalizer would have helped, but I still was hopeful. At this point I have eaten one tomato off the plant (yummy!) and I have three small ones slowly growing. I am going to try to plant earlier next year and maybe try some red peppers too. Very cool idea, but I might need to modify next year.
...

The Sonicare FlexCare RS930 with Sanitizer has been a very smart purchase. My boyfriend bought this product at Costco and we have both used other electric toothbrushes in the past that we were not in love with. We were first drawn to this product by the cool Sanitizer feature. I have had electric toothbrushes in the past that have gotten pretty gross over time, and I loved the idea that I knew I was not going to be just spreading bacteria all over my teeth. I think it is great that this product comes with more than one brush head too. Great for couples or families. This brush is very smart too. It has many functions to adjust to what you need and keeps time to let you know you have brushed long enough. The brush is kind to my sensitive gums, but strong enough my teeth still feel very clean. I like the travel case it came with too, which makes packing it easy. I am eager to hear what my dentist has to say at my next visit. I am sure she will be thrilled!
...

Aveeno SPF 70 Face Block is a great product. I orginially heard about it from a friend who like me is very very prone to getting sunburn on her face, espcially her nose and cheeks. I love being outdoors, but I hate how red my face gets and I know it is terrible for my skin to burn over and over again. I bought this product at the beginning of the summer and it has worked great! Even when I wear sunglasses (which seem to reflect sun on my face cause burns) I have had no problems. This face block doesn't break me out either, which has been a problem with products in the past. The formula is light but a little hard to get rubbed in all the way. It is long lasting, although if you sweat a lot be careful about putting your eye lids because it will sting your eyes. I love how this product is no more expensive than any other sunscreen either and I know in my area it seems to go on sale frequently. I highly reccomend it!
...

The Samsung Alias has been a great cell phone choice for me. I got this phone about a year ago and have loved all the features and how easy to use it is. When I was looking for a new phone I was not interested in the newest and pricest things out there. I am hard on my cell phones and I wanted something that would be tough and also small enough for my pocket or a small purse. This phone has been great! I love how it flips two ways, one which allows you to use a full keyboard! The buttons are a bit tiny, so if you have fat fingers it could be a problem, but I don't think they are any smaller than on a Blackberry! The camera and video works great and it does everything I need in a cell phone. My only complaint is that after I year my battery really seems to drain fast and I will need a new one in the next few months. Otherwise, this is a very cool phone for anyone that still likes a simple, functional phone.
...

I had been wanting a GPS for awhile now, but was waiting for one that was well rated with lots of features. I ended up getting at Garmin-Nuvi 750 and overall it has been great so far. It is so small and easy to take on any trip with me. I love that I no longer have to print pages of mapquest to go places and the fact that it calls out all the turns for me means no more reading directions while trying to drive! The display is clear and colorful and so easy to use. The directions are read clearly with plenty of warning before turns. I also like how I can look up local gas prices, resturants, traffic, and attractions on there with the MSN package added.

One thing that has bothered me is that the satelite signal is not always the best. I have had to wait for a long time to get signal before, which is very frustrating when I need directions ASAP. Not sure why this happens sometimes.

Overall, a great product that makes like much easier.
...

kwhipkey says "So yummy and good for you too!" about Luna Bars

I recenlty have been trying to eat healthier and I started to look for a protein bar that did not taste like dirt to eat as a snack before hitting the gym. I was thrilled when I found Luna bars! They came in great flavors (my favorites being Smores, Chocolate Raspberry, and Peanut Butter cookie) and are very filling. I am very happy with the number of calories in the bars (usually about 180-200 per bar) and how much other good vitamins and nutrients are in them. I eat one on my way home from work before hitting the gym and I am not hungery until I get home. They also are sweet and tasty so I feel like I am eating a dessert and not something good for me. I like to eat natural foods also, so I appreciate that they are 70% organic and 100% natural (so no High Frucose Corn Syrup!). I have reccomended these to my friends and co-workers and they all seem to really enjoy them also. They can be a pretty good value too. I pay $1 per bar at a local grocery store. Not too bad!
...

kwhipkey says "How can you not love recording shows and missing commercials?" about TiVo - Digital Video Recorder

I have had my TiVo digital recorder for a few years now and I still love it!! I think back to the days where I would tape things on the VCR (always a pain in the butt!) and laugh at how easy it is to use my TiVo. I love its basic functions like recording shows and fastforwarding through commercials, but I also love how it takes recording up a notch with its other features. Season pass is awesome. It will record all the new episodes of my favorite shows without me having to remind it weekly. I also like the TiVo suggestions, which is where it will look at what I like to watch and record and record shows it thinks I will like. I does a good job and I am always happy to find things I like to watch as a surprise when I get home.

One problem I have with the TiVo is that it does not hook right into my cable box, so I have to use external sensors to change the channel. They do not always work right, so the TiVo will say it recorded my show, but it didn't. Very frustrating.
...

kwhipkey says "This product takes my Tivo up another notch." about TiVo - Wireless G USB Adapter

When I got my TiVo Wireless G USB Adapter for Christmas, I had honestly no idea of what it did. My tech savy brother was soon to point out how this little product would take my TiVo use up a notch. He was kind enough to set it up for me, and he ran into many installation problems along the way. To be fair, I think it is because my wireless router sucks royally, but he finally got it going. It is so cool! I would say what I most use this product for is to move shows from my TiVo to my Mac. Uploads can be slow from one to the other (again it might be my network or router that causes this) but once they are on there I can transfer new shows to my iPod to watch at the gym or on the go. So cool. It is saving me money from buying shows on iTunes. It also lets me set my Tivo wirelessly in case I forget something. I think this product is a great buy for anyone who loves both their TiVo and watching shows on their iPod. Very cool.
...

kwhipkey says "This iPod is great looking and fun to use!" about Apple - 8GB iPod Nano Chromatics

So I got a brand new Apple iPod 8BG Nano in February, and I must say that I am in love with it! I have an other and bigger video iPod from a few years ago that I always enjoyed, but this new Nano is so lightweight with a great, clear display. I love some of the new features included with it like the ability to watch video and how you can now shake it to make your song shuffle. At first I was concerned with this feature since I use itwhile I run, but I found that the shaking of my arm when running is not enough to make the song shuffle. With a sporty arm band that I bought separately this is the perfect gym companion. I use it both while on cardio machines and lifting weights. It is so easy to use that I don't even have to look at the controls when changing songs or adjusting the volume. The only complaint I have is that the battery does seem to drain quicker than in my old iPod, so I have to remember to charge it at night.

All in all, a great product!
...
