kvelk1 says "convenient phone " about LG - enV VX9900 Cell Phone

I bought the Verizon EnV cell phone in December after trying a touch screen phone first that I didn't like because I found it hard to operate the sensitive touch screen, especially for texting, or ending a call. I love the EnV because the buttons are easily accessible whether the phone is flipped open or closed. It has a full QWERTY keyboard so you can text very fast when the phone is open, OR you can keep it closed and text the old fashioned way with the number pad. Either way this is the best phone for communication! It also has email and internet, but I haven't upgraded my plan to use these features yet. It is also very user friendly for downloading ringtones and the VCast system allows you to download music and videos very easily as well. It also comes with about 17 pre-loaded ringtones so you don't even have to purchase additional tones if you don't want to! It has some cool interactive wallpaper and also a way to add your personal photos as wallpaper, or to attach...
...

kvelk1 says "Quality DVDs and Videos to educate and entertain your child!" about Baby Einstein DVD Collection

I cannot say enough about the Baby Einstein Video and DVD collection. We have nearly all of them and both my children, now age 7 and 5 are still enthralled by these videos. My daughter has been obsessed over the characters and music in the videos since birth, and she sleeps with the music at night. She has called this collection "Ba Ba Ba" since being a baby and she still refers to the videos by this name!

Baby Mozart was our first video and we were hooked. The clever pairing of the music to the puppetry and action toys is amazing. My kids are always mesmerized while watching the videos. The DVD's also have some special features that the kids like too. You can watch just the puppet shows, or find just the music you like. We even bought some of the puppets and toys from the website so the kids could play along while watching the videos. Our favorite is Baby Wordsworth where Academy Award winner Marlee Maitlin teaches sign language. My daughter can still sign the...
...

kvelk1 says "The only brand of carseat you want for your child's protection" about Britax Roundabout

We bought the Britax Roundabout for my daughter, our second child, when she was born. We did use an infant carrier of another brand for her first 3 months, but moved her up to the Britax rear-facing when she was strong enough to be in a full carseat. This carseat is wonderful. It is VERY easy to adjust and tighten. The cover is very easily removed for washing, and believe me, we have had to wash it frequently! She has been forward facing in it from about 11 months until now, and she is almost 5 years old! I do not want to move her to a booster seat because this Britax protects her so well and she still fits in it perfectly. She's only 35 lbs. and it goes up to 40lbs., so we will keep her in it as long as we can. I whoel heartedly recommend this carseat for your child. It gets the top safety ratings and we can tighten it to where it moves less than an 1/8th inch on the seat. Superb! It comes in a number of patterns and colors. We have the moss green color and the...
...

kvelk1 says "Food is great, but watch out for Prix Fixe" about Shula's Steakhouse - Chicago, IL

If you are planning to dine out, and you like steak, you almost cannot do better than Don Shula's Steakhouse. The service and quality are top notch, and you get to choose your cut of meat , which is appealing when you're a steak lover! The ambiance is a bit formal, but it's not too quiet that you'll be afraid to talk about your most intimate secrets over dinner.

We loved the steak and the accompaniments - specifically the lobster mashed potatoes, and the grilled asparagus. oh, and you have to order dessert in advance because it takes long to prepare their specialities.

While the food was excellent, and worth raving about to friends, we were disappointed in the promotions advertising. We had tried Shula's because I received an email boasting about their prix fixe dinners for $39.95, all inclusive. We and another couple arrived on a Friday night and were promptly informed that the prix fixe does not apply on Fridays. I was perturbed because my email made NO mention of any...
...

kvelk1 says "Your kids will love it" about Insect Lore Live Butterfly Garden

This is our second year of buying the Insect Lore Butterfly Garden. This is an amazing product and one that my kids look forward to every year. The first time you purchase a kit, it's about $30 but you get the butterfly treehouse, an informational DVD, a poster, and of course, the butterfly larvae. It's important to note that the larvae won't be shipped if the weather is too cold or too hot for them to survive in transit. It's best to get them in the Spring.

When they arrive, the caterpillars are self-contained with their food supply and they are very tiny - about a 1/4 inch in length. They double in size each day as they eat their prepared food, and in about 10 days, you will see them spin their chrysalids on the lid of their container. It's an awesome way to teach your kids about metamorphasis!

My kids watch their growth everyday and go crazy over the number of chrysalids hanging from the lid. In about another 10 days, the chrysalids will hatch and you will see the...
...

kvelk1 says "Non-stop heart pounding suspense" about 24

If you don't watch Fox's series "24" then you are missing the greatest show on TV. My husband and I have been with Jack Bauer, the lead character, since the first season, and there have been more than 5 of them. Fox's writers are brilliant as they continue to find a way to intrigue the viewer with another terroristic plot, or world security dilemma that Jack has to resolve.

The reason you will absolutely love it is that each episode is shot in real time - meaning that you are watching a 24 hour day in Jack's life in a series of 24 episodes. Each episode is one hour of that day and the director does a great job in keeping the events in a real time sequence.

This season has to be the most intense so far. It's nearly at the end, but if you jump in now, you will find that one show will get you hooked and then you can catch up on DVD!

Seriously, become a 24 watcher and you'll forever be a Jack Bauer fan. It makes for great office talk!

kvelk1 says "freeze your youth" about L'Oreal Advanced Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair

I signed up for the Loreal Advanced Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair campaign and I am already loving it. I'm only a week into using the lotions but I can definitely feel a difference in my skin, though I haven't seen the results yet (I expect it to take at least 3 weeks, but i'm optimistic!). When I apply it, I can feel it soaking into my skin immediately and I feel soft and supple everywhere I apply it. The scent is pleasant too and I feel absolutely no irritation.

It's very convenient packaging too. One dispenser is marked "day" and the other is "night". I leave them right on my vanity to be sure I apply the day cream just after I wash my face, and the night cream before bed.

I usually leave the house with no make-up, so the SPF 15 in the lotion makes it an awesome daily wear to protect from the UV rays. I am very excited about this product. I have sampled many anti-aging creams and I am very positive about this brand and the anticipated results. I cannot wait...
...
