kumachn says "Good bang for you buck." about Residence Inn, Sacramento Cal Expo - Sacramento, CA

This is good bang for your buck. Location is in a decent neighborhood near restaurants and the shopping mall. Friendly staff greet you at the door. They have clean rooms, and they re-stock shampoo, conditioner, soap, coffee & creamer, and popcorn everyday.

There is a kitchen with stove, microwave, dishwasher, cooking ware, plates and utensils. Its a bit outdated but surprisingly clean and in good condition.

There is a work desk in the kitchen conveniently near the refrigerator so all I have to do is turn around to get a drink.

Bed is comfortable, also sofa bed facing the gas log burning fireplace.

Breakfast consist of Eggs, Oatmeal, Biscuits & Gravy, Cereal, Waffles, Orange Juice, Cofee, and Bagels/Muffins

The only thing I didn't' like in the room was the water saving toilet than has a very weak flush.
...

Ever since my visit to Philippines I have craved Jollibee. Now that that they have been branching out in the States it brings back memories of my visits. The sweet Philippine Spaghetti, Chicken with the side of Gravy, and now with Pandesal. To top it all off I get my Ube ( Taro ) Cooler with Tapioca drink .. what more can I ask for. hmm. Halo Halo, Mango Pie, and many more things on the menu.
...

My Shih Tzu always goes to Petsmart for all his needs. I go to PetSmart Virginia Beach once a month for his bath & grooming. The staff is very friendly and remember my dogs name and give report card of behavior during his stay.

Petshotel is very clean and offer alot of extra's for a reasonable price. Even when we go cross country he stays at Pets Hotel when every he cannot come with us to the hotel or theme park....

kumachn says "Cheap Comfy & friendly flights" about Southwest Airlines

I flew on Southwest Airlines from San Diego to San Francisco and was happy with the service. After boarding the plane the pilot got the word from SFO that there is a landing delay due to weather. Good thing the planes doors were not closed so he gave us the option to get off the plane for 1 hour and 20 min. I chose to stay in my seat and the crew was passing water to whoever stayed.

After we took off and was at cruising altitude they served drinks again with peanuts. They had alot of crew members so they served us very quickly. The chairs were comfortable.
...

kumachn says "Come here if you want bleeding toes" about LA Nails & Spa - - National City, CA

Dropped off my wife to LA Nails & Spa in the Plaza Bonita Mall. After 30 minutes of shopping, I got a call from her crying on the phone about them hurting her. So I go back to see for myself. While doing the pedicure the lady was stripping off skin and not callus or cuticles and made her bleed alot. Instead of waiting for the bleeding to stop, they contined on to putting on nail polish. You can see the blood going through the nail polish and was very painful watching my wife crying there on the chair while this lady apparantley doesn't know what she is doing. They kept on pressing on the wound with cotton. At this point I wanted to get her out of there. So they stripped off the nail polish with acetone, and imagine the pain of that touching the wound. Then tried to put some medicine on it that made it worse. As we were leaving they had the nerve to try to charge her $22 for the horrible service. Then I kindly reminded them I'll just call Better Business Bureau that was listed on their...
...

kumachn says "Low Budget Pet Friendly Hotel" about travelodge Tucumcari, NM - Tucumari, NM

Travelodge Tucumcari, NM on Route 66 next to I-40

I would suggest paying the extra $10 for the neighboring hotels. If staying at this hotel bring some Lysol, blacklight, towels, shower slippers and sanitation wipes.

The carpet is dark dirty color, and sticky. Even my dog was sniffing around as if scents were left behind.
...

kumachn says "Needs more power, but works" about Midland GXT-900VP4 (42 Channels) Two Way Radio

Ordered Midland GXT900VP4 when they first came out and was back ordered. The size and functionality of the radio is like other radios so you don't have to re-learn how to use it. The waterproof part may be a over statement and should read water resistant since it says protects from splashes, but I guess I'll find out later when it rains. They advertised a range up to 30 miles. In the hills of Two Rock, Petaluma the land of the happy cows it was more like 2.5 miles to 3. Even less than that if you have one person indoors. I like the ear piece and chargers that came with the radios. Even had a car charger, but I don't know if I want to use the radio's in a vehicle. Got alot of static and it also interfered with my Tachometer reving it to 8000 RPM. The radio's were still a good bang for your bucks....

We stayed at Extended Stay America to attend a party in the area and not have to drive all the way to Rohnert Park after attending. The location was near the mall, local shopping, and Starbucks. The price was reasonable compared to Best Western but had a mini kitchen with full size fridge and accepted pets. Room was clean with friendly staff.

Now the Bad:

The King size ben was extremely firm and squeeky. There was no hygien amenities provided. You have to ask the front desk for a hair dryer if you needed it. The shower single control knob worked backwards from hot to cold which made turning on / off tricky if you didn't want to get burned. The elevator call button on the second floor kept getting stuck and made the elevator not move and close its door.
...

kumachn says "Good bang for your buck" about Hoover Vacuum - Elite - Upright Rewind Bagless Vacuum

I've been satisfied so far with this vacume. I like the self rewinding feature for the cord. The bagless feature is a plus, and empties through the bottom is great. The vacuming power is good and you can see the dirt it picks up. Not that heavy compared to alot of uprights. Just wish the hose was longer for cleaning stairs. It does have the pover brush for cleaning the furniture which is great....

I rented the Chevy Cobolt at Avis for travel from Rohnert Park, CA to Las Vegas, NV to save some gas instead of using my gas guzziling van. It was only me, my wife, six yr old daughter & Shih Tzu traveling for our wedding anniversary.

I had alot of bump steer everytime I hit some dip or bump in the road, so it was annoying keeping it straight. Going up the mountains it was struggling doing 55 - 60 mph. Tranny didn't want to down shift get some torque going up. I was watching the coolant temp. guage jump from 187 to 230 deg. F or higher. Didn't save as much gas as I thought I would. Only 29 MPG average. My '86 corolla gets the same mileage and is alot faster with more torque.

The cup holders were too close to the climate controls. Drivers seat would not return to upright position without holding the recline handle. Center console arm rest was on top of the e-brake. AC bottom vent barely worked underneath the seat to get air to the rear passengers. The back end of the car was so high in the...
...

If your wanting a hassel free vacation, the Bluegreen Club 36 location is not the first place you should go since they are new and all employess are just wanting their commision. I originaly bought my time share in Gatlinburg, TN 2 years ago and was excited to use my benifits when they come to the west coast but had to wait for the Las Vegas location to open.

I tried attending their deals of 2 nights in Vegas for $45 in a hotel provided by them as long as you attend a seminar the next day for 1 hour ( Reality 2 1/2 hours ). When I went to pick up reservations and dinner tickets at the Bluegreen Welcome Center they were not open when they told me there was going to be staff there the day I check in. The number they left on the door was useless because they don't return the calls. There is no emergency number to use, so if there is something wrong with the reservation no one will help. To make matters worse I had in-laws watching all this happen and began to get scared that we didn't have...
...
