kristaz99 says "I am glad it's not me on Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader!" about Are You Smarter than a 5th Grader?

I watched this show a lot more when it first came out. There are 5 kids that set at desks and get to come out one at a time to help a contest. So basically the adult can cheet off of one of the kids if they need to. Of course they are picking very bright 5th graders to be on the show but it is kind of interesting how much people don't know. And I wonder how they figure out what questions go in what grade because I am a 2nd grade teacher and there are some things they ask as a 2nd grade question that is something we don't teach so it would be interesting to find that out. It is really show at times by both the characters taking their time with each question and with Jeff Foxworthy. Also winning the million is almost impossible so I am not sure if I will continue watching it. It is interesting if it is the only thing on tv. I do like to see how much more my husband I know then the contestents. Sometimes I wonder when they take their time if they are nervous or really don't know the questions....
...

kristaz99 says "I can't stop watching Army Wives" about Army Wives

When I first saw the previews I didn't think I would be so interested in it because I am really not connected to the Army. However after watching the first episode I was hooked. I can't stop watching it. The only con would be there are not that many episodes for a season. The season runs through the summer instead of during school time like most sitcoms. It is on lifetime. I love that all the characters are friends in a group and apart. They all go through at least one major thing each season it seems and everyone pulls together to get them through it. At first you think one of the wives is so perfect and has it all together and come to find out she is dating another guy (not her husband). One of the army men falls into drugs which I am sure is something that can happen on a regular basis in the army. IT was really sad when the the comading officers daughter died in a bombing that he knew might happen even though he was trying to save his family it backfired. Roxy has to be one of my...
...

kristaz99 says "Finding Nemo is a show my kids watch over and over." about Finding Nemo

I first watched Finding Nemo with friends before my kids even watched it. It was so good. It is about this dad marlin fish whos wife is killed after laying hundreds of eggs. Well all the eggs get eaten but one who is Nemo of course. So him and his dad are getting ready for his first day of school. (Well he is a little handicapped because one of his fins is way shorter then the other.) Well his dad freaks out of course that he is going to get hurt however because he is rebelling he ends up getting captured by a scuba diver and taken to Sydney to a dentists office who is going to give it to a little girl who is known to kill a few fish. So Nemo becomes friends with the others in the tank and they devise a plan to escape. Meanwhile his dad runs into Dorey who has short term memory loss. It is quiet funny most of the time. There are sharks that are going to meetings because they are trying to lay off eating fish. So Marlin and Dorey get taken to a meeting. Then they run into sea turtles and...
...

kristaz99 says "My kids love watching Winn Dixie!" about Because of Winn-Dixie

I have read the book Winn Dixie to my 2nd graders for many years now. The year Winn Dixie came out we had to go see it in the movies. There are several parts that are different then the book but it still has the same meaning and keeps the same mood as the book. This seems like an original film. It is about a girl whos mother left her and her dad who is a preacher. They have just moved into this new town in a trailer court. So she goes to the grocery store named Winn Dixie and this dog is running up and down the isle and the manager is ready to call the pound till she says it is her dog. So she takes it home and the manager of the trailer park and her dad doesn't think it is a good idea at first but they warm up to the idea. She ends up getting a summer job in a pet shop and meet a man named Otis, she goes to the library and has many discussions with Franny Block the librarian, and she gets to meet who the Dewberry boys call the witch Gloria Dump who becomes one of her best friends. Oh and...
...

I grew up watching Ellen on her sitcom and now she has her own talkshow! Ok she has had it for a while but it has just been since DVR came out that I can watch her on a regular basis. If I am ever in a bad mood I know I can just turn on the Ellen show an I will be happy within minutes. On almost every episode she comes up with something funny to say and the she dances into the audience. She has some of the best crowds! Or so she always tells them that. Then she will introduce the guests who will be on the show. She will sometimes have singers, actors, actresses, famous people, people that have done amazing things, kids that are inventers, cooks, etc. She sometimes has audience members come up and show their tallent. She gives away tons of stuff and on a regular basis surprises either a guest or sends her PA out and she suprises someone with something amazing like tons of cash, a new car, tickets to something really cool etc. Oh and I almost forgot my favorite thing THE GAMES! She has the...
...

kristaz99 says "I don't know what I ever did without my IPhone!" about Apple - iPhone 3G Cell Phone

I was the one at work that said I would never get an IPhone. I said I would never pay that much for a phone. Well let me tell you if mine were to break today I would have to figure out a way to go buy one tomorrow. I don't know how I ever lived without it. It is easy to use (however the texting takes a little getting used to). I love that it corrects my errors and I find that the faster I text the better it corrects me. It has tons of free apps that you can download anywhere (and of course tons you can pay for as well). It has the ipod in the phone that works just as well as an ipod where you can download songs, videos, podcasts, and more. The screen is so nice and big. I do wish I can send the pictures I take in a text but I hear that app is coming. I love that I have the internet with me at all times which comes in very handy sometimes. Some of the apps I use a lot are facebook, the weather channel, a bible reader, and many many games. It is a little pricey but it is well worth it!
...

kristaz99 says "I am on my Toshiba Satellite almost everyday!" about Toshiba Satellite Laptop

I bought this just for personal use and now I even take it to school with me to use (I am a teacher). It has tons of video and pics stored on it and it is working great. It has 1 gb ram, 80 gb hard drive, and a dvd/cd burner. It is Wi Fi compatable which is great when I go out with friends. Sometimes we all bring our laptops and surf the net. I had never experinced Wi Fi till I got this computer but it is just as easy as clicking a couple buttons and you are all set up. We also have wireless internet at our house and the laptop works well with that and is usually quicker then our Dell PC which is also hooked up to the same internet. I didn't like that I still had to buy office but that is standard now I hear. Also the Vista takes getting used to but it isn't really hard. I have heard about people not being able to use their software or printers with VIsta but if you are willing to do a little research then you can find patches that will make just about anything compatable.
...

kristaz99 says "The Perform Crosswalk Tredmill is great for any exercizer." about Proform Crosswalk Caliber Elite Treadmill

If you don't like going to the gym, or don't have the time this is great. You can exercise anywhere in your house and even watch tv while you are doing it. If you are like me I don't have time for everything in my day so its nice to catch up on some tv while I am getting in some walking. It is easily adjustable so if you feel like you want to speed up or slow down at anytime it is easy to hit the buttons to do that. It is so handy to fold up and it isn't hard to pull around the house if you need to store it or move it to another room for any reason. I am not a strong person and I can get it out of the closet and pull the bottom down and exercise and put it back when I am done without any problem. It does have a really slow speed because our toddlers like to get on it sometimes in the winter and I don't want them to get hurt so I turn it down really low. I would recomend this for the price and value!
...

kristaz99 says "I have never been lost since I bought the Garmen 200!!" about Garmin - Nuvi 200

I am have been directionally challenged most of my life. After my parents bought a Garmen 200 for their vacation they let me use it for a weekend. I found out I could not live without it. It has gotten me out of many scary places. All I have to do is put in a location and it will tell me exactly how to get there. It has really good reception and has never lost it while we were driving. If we get hungry or need place to stop all we do is go into either restaurants or motels and it will tell you what is nearby and how to get to it. Then when you leave it will just keep you going to the place you were heading to in the first place. It will stay charged well over an hour if unplugged. That is really nice if you are needing to charge things like cell phones in your car when you are traveling. Also if you run into construction it will detour you so that you can get around it. I would highly recomend this to anyone looking into a GPS. My brother has the higher priced one and it really doesn't...
...

kristaz99 says "Proactive made my skin feel better but not look better." about Proactiv Solution Acne Treatment

I am 29 years old and I tried proactive solution for about nine months. (This is the where you have a cleaner, a toner, and a moisterizer.) At first it made my skin feel less oily and more smooth. However it didn't do anything for my acne. I used it exactly how the directions told me to but nothing happened. I had tried it as a teenage for a while and I don't rememeber it doing anything then but when you are a teen it is more likely you will forget or not follow the directions. So as an adult I decided to try it again because I was desperite. However I had the same results. I am sure tha this product might work on some people but it didn't with me. I also tried the on the spot acne treatment but it didn't do anything either. At first I thought it was making my pimples smaller but I really don't think it did. I wouldn't say that you shouldn't try it because I know when you are desperite you will try anything but make sure if it isn't working after a while that you don't keep ordering it...
...
