kmartin555 says "A great laptop - when it works" about Dell Inspiron 1721 Laptop

I bought the Dell Inspirion 1721very excited about transitioning to a laptop from a desktop, and the size of this one (17") makes that transition very easy. I'm not a huge fan of Vista, but I can deal. It runs pretty fast and doesn't give me too many problems or hangups.

The problem is really with Dell's shoddy workmanship. In the first 6 months, Dell had to replace my hard drive three times. This is a huge inconvenience, obviously, and each time I had to make the switch I lost all of the files and information that was stored on the hard drive. Then, my keyboard started acting weird. I would press an "F' and it would type a "P" and stuff like that. Dell sent me a new keyboard. It worked for a couple of weeks, then quit. Dell had to actually send a tech to my house to fix that problem. After that, my warranty expired (of course!). I haven't had too many problems since then, although my keyboard still acts very quirky. I can be typing along and the cursor will just jump up into the paragraph...
...

kmartin555 says "The only medicine that knocks out my tension headaches!" about Excederin Tension Headache

I am a sufferer of tension headaches. I get them frequently and they can get pretty bad. I have had this problem for years, and never could find a product that would completely get rid of the pain. Many would temporarily relieve the headache, but would still leave my neck and shoulder muscles sore and throbbing. Prescription meds worked occasionally, if they didn't put me to sleep!

Then I found Excedrin Tension Headache. Man, I love this stuff! It is the ONLY medicine out there that relieves my tension and attacks the headache. I keep a bottle in my purse, at my desk at work, and in our medicine cabinet. I certainly never travevl without it! I rely on Excedrin Tension to get me through long workdays and longer homework assignments. It works every time!

The downside is, as with any medication, you have to be careful not to take it too often, as it can cause liver damage with consistent use over a long period of time. When I admitted to my doctor how often I was taking it, she sent me for...
...

kmartin555 says "Clears up my pre-teen daughter's skin immediately!" about Mary Kay Velocity Skin Care Set

The Velocity skin care set by Mary Kay is specially formulated for younger skin. It includes a cleanser and a moisturizer, and when used together they work amazingly well!

My daughter is eleven and the poor girl is already breaking out - bad. She doesn't get major pimples, she gets a rash of bumps all along her forehead and her nose. Her super oily skin and all of the sports she plays doesn't help! She is not old enough to use a system like ProActive, and she doesn't need all of the products with anti-aging ingredients. I searched and searched and couldn't find the right product for her skin that would knock out the zits and wouldn't completely dry her out.

Enter Velocity! A friend of mine sells Mary Kay and suggested Velocity. I am on a budget and was skeptical about paying so much for a young girl for skin care, but figured it was worth a shot. She is obviously going to have a long struggle ahead with her skin, might as well find the products that are going to work correctly for her,...
...

kmartin555 says "A movie to be enjoyed by more than just kids!" about UP (3D Version)

Disney Pixar's movie "Up" is an instant classic. We saw the movie in 3D, and even though we got stuck on the front row of the theater, we had a great time. "Up" is a bit different from other Pixar movies. It has some sad moments, and is very sentimental. It doesn't often go for the big, obvious laughs (although laugh you will!), instead offering a touching story that has the adult character learning some important lessons from a child.

A smooth storyline takes you on a journey of a mans life with his wife, giving viewers a glimpse of special moments they had together. Without taking up too much time, this allowed you to experience the closeness of the relationship. Without giving anything away, I am not afraid to admit I teared up a few times in this movie!

The 3D effects were amazing, and you could really see the dimensions of the animation. However, I do not think that the viewer at home or in a non-3D theater is missing out on too much. While the effects were nice and noticeable, this...
...

kmartin555 says "Helped us repair our credit score and buy a house!" about Credit One - Platinum Visa

We signed up for this credit card with hesitation, because we were trying to improve our credit and get out of debt, not accumulate more! However, we applied and were approved for a small limit. Every month, we charged our gas for our vehicles on the card and then paid them in full. Well, after doing this for 6 months our credit score rose 70 points! That is a huge difference, especially for one little credit card! We didn't pay finance charges since we paid in full each month. We did pay a monthly fee of $6. Worth it for all of the help it gave us. It helped us raise our score enough so that we were able to buy a house! Now that we have had the card for a year, creditone raised our limit without us even having to ask. We are very pleased with this card, and it is the only card that we plan to have.
...
