kimnme says "Wonderful little compact swing, easily moves with you." about Boppy Rock in Comfort Travel Swing

Before the arrival of my third child, I decided to get a new swing. I wasn't happy with the bulkiness of the swing we had and wanted something smaller. When my sister got the Boppy Rock in Comfort Travel Swing, I was pleased to see all the features that I was looking for. A soft neutral palate, ability to fold and move easily, great music and a fun little toybar. I immediately went searching for a great deal and picked myself up one. I am a huge fan of the Boppy brand and for the most part have loved this swing. My only disappointment is the snap-in toy bar...my two year old was playing with the swing (my baby not anywhere near) and hit the bar with his head and broke it. Wish it could have been constructed a little more sturdy, but I would totally purchase this swing again in a heartbeat.
...

kimnme says "Most used item in my kitchen!" about Pampered Chef Small Micro-Cooker

This is by far the most used product in my home. I use it to steam my fresh and frozen veggies and fruits every night. I have also used it to make homemade hot chocolate. It is so simple to use that I frequently assign my daughter the veggies for dinner. Simply put in your ingredients, add a little water and microwave. When done, use the built in strainer to drain out the water, twist off that top and you have veggies for dinner. I discovered that it can be used to make the best and simplist cinnamon apples. Because it is used in the microwave it cuts down on kitchen heating, which during the hot summer months is great! Would recommend this product to any friend.
...

kimnme says "I've seen it a million times and still dance." about Alvin and the Chipmunks

First I will start out...I was given "The Chipmunk Adventure" for MY birthday! Brings back all my good childhood memories.

This is a movie I can put in for my 10 year old girl and almost 3 year old boy and they will both enjoy it. I've even caught my 8 month old checking it out. I will admit there is a little crude humor (Alvin in the dishwasher), but nothing that had my face turning red.

This is a great movie to get your kid up and dancing. I have numerous videos (see I really have watched it a million times) of my son on his feet singing and dancing along. He loves "ting, tang, wa, wa, bim, bame." How can you not smile and laugh when you kid is that happy.

I love the contemporary songs they added, plus throwing in the good Alvin and the Chipmunk oldies.

Can't wait until they release (heck announce) the second movie that features the Chipettes, I think my daughter will really dig that!!!

kimnme says "Great for sore breasts and other ailments." about Lansinoh Lanolin Breast Cream

My mother gave me a tube with my first. I used it all up! This is a great healing ointment. Lanisoh Lanolin Breast Cream was a life saver the first month of nursing and was religiously applied daily and touched up when needed (due to it's thick consistancy that wasn't too frequent).

Excellent for sore and achy nipples. So soothing to apply. Worked wonders when my second child got teeth and started biting.

Now that I'm not having any nursing problems (until baby 3 gets some teeth) I have been looking for other uses. Excellent for chapped skin. Love to apply to my nose when I have a cold. I have used it like Neosporin on a couple small burns.

My only complaints (like everyone else) are the price and the super thick consistancy. Being so thick you have to rub it between your fingers to get it warmed up and pliable. I had to wipe off my fingers with a napkin and wash with soap to get it all off. Definately want to use nursing pads to keep it off your clothes.
...

kimnme says "Evenflo Disposable Nursing Pads" about Evenflo Comfort Select Disposable Nursing Pads

After my favorite brand of nursing pads was discontinued I was in the market for something new. My sister had been using the Evenflo disposable pads for a few months and suggested them. For the price ($3.50ish for 60) I thought sure why not. Plus she mentioned that a couple packs she bought had a coupon for the next purchase.

When I started using these pads 4 months into nursing I wasn't completely satisfied. The pads seem slighty flimsy. I don't like that they are packaged in two packs. Frequently I only need one pad (to replace one I've filled with milk) and hate having one pad just hanging out unwrapped. I have leaked out of these pads quite a few times, but not more than most other kinds. I have a strong let-down and fill these pads quickly. I haven't had any problem with these coming apart (like another reviewer stated). I like that they aren't too bulky like some other brands. For the money I shelled out I think they were worth it.
...

kimnme says "LilyPads don't work with a strong let-down reflex." about LilyPadz Non-Absorbent Nursing Pads

I hated spending so much money on nursing pads with my first. So 6 years later when I was pregnant with my second I heard of this great product LilyPads. I thought if they could save me some money in the long run the $20 they cost would be worth it. I got the pads a used them while I was pregnant and they worked great because I only had minor leaking. After my son was born, I tried to use the pads again and at my next feeding it completely leaked out and made a huge mess. I thought perhaps I had applied them wrong and tried again a couple days later for good measure, unfortuantely the same experience. I have a strong let-down and hence the LilyPads don't work. I have now regretted spending the money on the LilyPads. I haven't even tried with my current child fearful of a repeat. I will admit that I did wear them a couple times with my second child while swimming. I wanted a little protection from leakage where normal pads wouldn't work and figured that even if I did have a "malfunction"...
...

kimnme says "Best pads I have found, steep price." about Medela Disposable Nursing Pads

I picked up a box of Medula nursing pads at a consignment store. They had full box for $3 and I was in dire need. It was such a good price that I figured I would give them a try. I love these nursing pads! I have only leaked out of them twice and that was only because my baby slept through the night and I forgot to pump before going to bed.

I like how each pad is individually wrapped in plastic. No need to store an extra pad (like you have to with many twin pack pads). I love the discreet shape. You can hardly notice I am wearing them, yet they offer great absorption. They remind me of diapers...how the material wicks away the moisture from the skin and holds it.

My only problem with these pads are the price. They run $9.99 (at Target) for a box of 60. When you go through 2-4 pads a day that can add up to a lot of money. Other pads in the same family style range from $7 -$12. I guess I just wish the companies made it more cost-effective to use their products and help out us nursing mommies...
...
