kellyw40 says "This new show on CW is great!" about Aliens in America

This show is about an exchange student from Pakistan who comes to live with Justin and his family in Wisconsin. It's mostly about Justin's high school experience (he's the nerdy one with two equally nerdy friends). Although the show is really funny, it also attempts to teach the audience something in the end, usually about tolerance, love, etc....

kellyw40 says "This show is hilarious!" about Everybody Hates Chris

My favorite tv show is "Everybody Hates Chris." Although he doesn't actually appear in the show, Chris Rock narrates it. It's about his upbringing in New York during the eighties. It's very funny. But I'm a Chris Rock fan anyway, so I could be a little biased!...

kellyw40 says "This soft pink color is perfect for all face types." about BeneFit Dandelion Blush

This is the perfect product for those who just want a little color on their face, without looking like they've have applied too much blush. It's a soft, light pink. I bought the Dandelion palette, which also includes two eyeshadows and matching lipstick. I love the colors together because they create such a natural-looking face....

kellyw40 says "Book about 2 women living together in the Taliban's Afghanistan." about A Thousand Splendid Suns

Awesome book about two women attempting to live with one husband during the reign of the Taliban in Afghanistan. This is, without a doubt, one of the best books I've read this year. Although it's hard to read sometimes knowing how women were treated under the Taliban you not only learn from the book but you get quite attached to the characters. I loved it....

kellyw40 says "I used to think I was too young for Prevention!" about Prevention Magazine

I thought I was too young to read Prevention magazine, that it was for "older folks." But all of the articles appeal to everyone, regardless of age. Mostly I like the easy-to-use tips. For example, the magazine advises readers who drink coffee to add a little milk to the cup to combat the caffeine's calcium-depleting qualities. I started doing that two weeks ago, and although it's hard to know what the exact effects are, I know that I'm helping my body keep calcium working for me instead of it being depleted by the caffeine....

kellyw40 says "I love Overstock.com as a place to buy books." about Overstock.com

I usually buy all my books at Overstock.com. Even new books are much cheaper than any other site I've found. For example, the list price of the book, A Long Way Gone, is $22. On Overstock.com, I bought it new for $11 + Shipping, so it was only approximately $14.

The site sells hardbacks, paperbacks, audio books (CDs). Although I'm a rewards member at all of the "live" bookstores like Borders, B&N, etc., I buy 90% of my books at Overstock.

It takes about a week to get your order, which isn't bad considering some sites ship your order, then it takes up to two weeks to get to you.

Overstock.com also sells all types of media (movies, etc.), electronics, home goods, clothes. I bought a beautiful rug that looked exactly like the online photo. It was 8 x 10 ft. and I paid only $200-something for it. Great bargain.

But, as I said, mostly I purchase books on the site.
...

kellyw40 says "I love my German Shepherd mix!" about Dog German Shepherd Mix

I own a 9 1/2 year old German Shepherd mix. We believe his father was a black lab with chow mix. His mother was a full-blooded German Shepherd.

Fred is a great dog. He weighs 110 lbs. so you can't ever pick him up and his meds cost a fortune, but he's worth every time. I watch a lot of Court TV and I feel much more secure having Fred in the house with me!

He's settled down a lot over the years. He used to be much more high strung and jumped on people, etc. Now he just barks a lot. He's definitely the alpha dog of our family. And the neighborhood (in his mind). Just as most German Shepherds are great for security, so is Fred. You can tell he feels that it's his duty to protect the family and especially his doman, i.e., the house.

One unfortunate things is that the mortality of big dogs like German Shepherds is usually 10 years, so that's really his only drawback. That's why he's on plenty of meds for his ailments, and I take him to the vet to ensure all his vacccines, etc., are up-to-date....
...

kellyw40 says "I love Hondas, including my CRV. I'll never own another brand." about Honda CR-V - 2000

I bought my Honda CR-V in 2000, but you'd never know that it is seven years old. Although you can tell that the model is older, the performance is still excellent, and there have been no mechanical issues to date (knock on metal).

It is a four-door model, with a table hidden in the back you can take out for tailgating. In other words, this is an excellent car to take to your favorite football game. You don't ever have to worry about having the right equipment for laying out your goodies at the game; it's always there.

The red color is great, too. Although I haven't been good about waxing it, so it's a little faded on the rear door panel.

I love it anyway!
...
