We actually own a very large and expensive vacuum sealer but it is so large that we keep it stored underneath the cabinets (not very practical when you consider how often I need to use it)...So since I had a coupon and the Handi-Vac was on sale for $8.99 and I have a $5 send in rebate I decided to try it. This little gadget is fantastic!!!! I just used this tonite to store the leftover hamburger from cooking. What a relief to just pull the hand held tool from the drawer, cover the small vacuum seal on the bag and seal my hamburger! It took me approximately four minutes from start to finish (even with reading the directions)....I was really impressed! This tool did the job and I didn't need to fight with my bulky vacuum sealer to seal such a small portion of food. Another plus is the storage bags are pretty inexpensive at about $3.29 for a box of 14....not bad when you consider the bags for my...
