keiko101 says "run far away from this" about LG dishwasher

Wish I hadn't listened to the salesman and purchased this-- such a letdown from my previous experience with a Kitchenaid dishwasher. Have had this serviced twice --- thank goodness I bought and extended warranty from the store, however it runs out next year. Also LG has had to sent out a replacement rack for the bottom and top racks due to parts breaking and replacement clips for the bottom rack to hold the adjustable tines in place. The drying cycle doesn't do a very good job as most items in the top rack need to go in my countertop drying rack to air dry or some silverware, bowls and cups need to be toweldried to be put away as I run out of space in my drying rack. The fuse can go out on this -- like mine did --- serviceman said normally they can replace in 20 minutes or less but LG buries in control board and you have to replace the whole board, which took over a week to get from LG and another week to have the serviceman come back... Run far away from this dishwasher...
...

keiko101 says "worth every penny" about Wolfgang Puck - Rice Cooker - 5 Cup

This is an absolutely fabulous rice cooker at a wonderful price. It makes perfect rice every time, and we just tried the rice pudding recipe that was in the instruction book ----yummy!!! we did add cinnamon and that just made it perfect. It deserves all the great things they say about it on the HSN shows. We upgraded from the 5 cup to the 7 cup as someone (no names mentioned) used metal utensils in the pan and scratched the heck out of the nonstick coating. Must have been fate as the 7 cup works so much better for our family. We love to make extra rice so that we can make ham fried rice the next day with whatever leftover rice we have from the previous nights dinner. This is a true workhorse of an appliance at a very inexpensive price. I grew up with a Zojibishi rice cooker which is way more expensive and this cooker works just as well at a fraction of the cost --- I don't keep rice warm for hours so don't know if works that well on that...
...

keiko101 says "great for the price" about Wolfgang Puck Electric Pressure Cooker

Like another reviewer I have the 7qt model but it's the same only larger than the 5qt. I use it to make chicken and beef meals in half the time it normally takes. Also great for making homemade pinto beans that I then stick in a blender and puree up to make homemade refried beans without any fat and super delicious. The mac in cheese in the accompanying recipe book from HSN is a favorite with my kids and so easy to mac and better than that box stuff with artificial ingredients. Works well with frozen or fresh meat, which is great because sometimes I forget to take meat out of the freezer and don't want spaghetti as a standby. With the frozen meat it does take a little longer for the pressure to come up to where it needs to be, but still faster than it would have been and everything comes out very flavorful. Works just like on tv and a must have accompainment is the Debrah Murray recipe book as we have enjoyed several recipes from the cookbook --- when the next...
...

keiko101 says "not worth the money" about Wolfgang Puck Bread Maker

Bought this from HSN and was excited after watching the broadcast on this product. I had to return it, whether it was defective or not, it didn't work as they said. The bread came out with a super hard crust on the bottom and sides and I picked the light crust setting. Tried making a few loaves on different settings and nothing made a difference, I had to cut of most of the loaf as it was inedible. Back to baking bread the old fashioned way, mixing, kneading, rising, rising, shaping, baking, cooling, enjoying......when I do get the urge to try the bread machine again I'll do a thorough search on product reviews putting Zojirbishi at the top. Disappointed really like a few of his products I do own. At least it was easy to return to HSN, wonder where they found all those people who call in to say what a wonderful product this is, or did they just get the only batch of these that actually work.
...

keiko101 says "my favorite pan" about Todd English-Anodized Todd English Green Pans

Absolutely love my green pan --- works just like they show on HSN. Have had for just over a month and use at least 12-15 times a week, love to cook and wish they had a liner like this for my slow cooker. Will have to get the rest of the pots and pans and the broiler pan for my oven. Haven't had any problems with the pan but that might be because I followed all the instructions that came with the product. So easy to clean up, you can just wipe away any residue right after cooking and then pretty much a quck wash since nothing is stuck to the pan. I just have the 12 inch pan but it has been the only pan I've used except for my old stainless stockpots when I need something that holds more. These sell out so fast on HSN and Target only carries 3 pans. Hopefully I can get in on one of HSN's deals next time these are on the air with Todd English. Absolutely worth every penny paid!!!
...
