kdk says "Whirlpool Duet/Dryer-Mold and More Mold" about Whirlpool Duet - Washer Dryer

I purchased the Whirlpool Duet Washer/Dryer about 6 months ago, Loved it. Now all I smell is an awful odor. I have done everything to clean it..Used vinegar, bleach and so on. We took off the back drain hose and cleaned with baking soda and vinegar which cleaned out alot of gook. Nothing gets rid of the smell.

Now that I have been researching this, I am not the only one that has had this problem. Other people have experienced medical problems such as their kids getting sick and not realizing it was coming from the washer because of mold. One person went as far as taking the whole bottom apart after only owning it for 2 months and it was covered in black mold. He contacted whirlpool and they stated that they were aware of the problem and only offered 1/2 a buy back and they would come get it. I wish I researched this more before I bought it. From what I understand it's all front end loaders. Make sure you read all the comments regarding this issue. It's really bad and dangerous...
...
