katlnhat says "Dehumidifiers in general have one thing in common; hot air." about Kenmore 54701 Dehumidifier

This review is for the Kenmore 54701 Dehumidifier, but it can be applied to many other (maybe all) dehumidifiers, as we've certainly tried our share. In a sentence, while removing humidity they throw hot air throughout the room.

Many of us that need humidity removed from our homes, also would like the heat, even though it would be dryer heat, to also disappear - therefore a dehumidifier will not only make your air conditioner run longer, on a higher setting, it's a case of one appliance running against another.

Also, though this along with others have auto-shutoffs on them, when the water reservoir is full, keep an eye on them just in case, well, because you just never know. Once the reservoir is full, if you let it just sit there full of water that's been pulled from the air, (for example if you're not home and the dehumidifier is left running), and it stops, you'll not only have hot air from when it was running, you'll possibly have a moldy watery mess that's very full inside your dehumidifier...
...

katlnhat says "This is excellent!" about Medline Bath Bench

This is one of the best things ever invented - pair it with a hand-held shower that attaches right to your own shower head and have a seat and enjoy your shower - without worrying about falling or slipping; maybe even hurting yourself.

I'd recommend this to anyone, old, young, disabled, healthy, it's just that good. I needed something after taking a fall and having a heavy object fall on top of me, which was WHY I fell. As I'm too young for a hip replacement, I use this everytime I take a shower, combined with a hand-held shower head attachment.

It makes taking a shower, non-painful, which is always a good thing and if you know of anyone that's getting out of the hospital, know as well that they'll be very weak for awhile. Great coming-home gift and get one for yourself while you're at it. You won't regret this purchase. We never have, for sure.

...

katlnhat says "The Best!" about Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Pure-Castile Soap

Dr. Bronner (and not just the peppermint kind) is not only organic, but comes in several other types/natural scents. Since I'm allergic to so many things, and make my own soap and many creams and such, this is wonderful!

We buy not only the peppermint (probably my husband's favorite), but also the baby mild (unscented), as well as the Cherry Almond, the Eucalyptus, the Lavender and since they've come out with two more (rose and orange), we'll be purchasing them as well.

I've used Dr. Bronner's products for a long while and also respect the family's standards and commitment to excellency, which they've certainly acheived. With the addition of their Hemp Seed Oil (also organic) in the shampoos, they're even better for your hair and since it's an all around soap, it can also be used on the entire body.

Cleans, smells great and leaves no scummy soap residue.

I couldn't recommend this any higher!

I wouldn't say this is inexpensive, but I WILL say it's very worth it - look for savings online or...
...

katlnhat says "Worst Price Quote I've Ever Gotten!" about AMICA

This company does indeed advertise - they're all over the place with their 800 number, trying to convince you to call them for their extremely low rates. HA. We, my husband and I, aren't in a high-risk age group (under 25), and we both maintain clean driving records - we're getting a great price currently from Geico and they even sent us a refund check last billing period as they'd lowered their rates!

AMICA was over 10X the price of Geico, with LESS coverage. Also, the person I spoke with on the phone seemed not to care less, about us or anything else - rude is a good way to describe them.

I wouldn't recommend this company to anyone.

katlnhat
...

katlnhat says "Don't Waste Your Money!" about Mega-T Green Tea Dietary Supplement

The supplements that manytimes cost a lot of money aren't any substitute for a good, well-balanced diet. Don't discount the fact that these have not even been tested, nevermind approved by the FDA - they haven't.

Shouldn't that be a concern to everyone?

There isn't any substitute for good, nutrition and it's not that I'm saying that tea isn't good for you, because it is. Supplements are not the same thing, however and if we want tea, green or another herbal type, I brew it by the cup or if we wish to have it iced, as it's summer, by the half gallon.

There are some good companies out there that not only have a wide range of teas for you, but also have done their own product (herbal) testing, so that you know that the particular tea leaves or herbal teas are safe. Many are organic.

This is not to substitute for healthy eating; but perhaps to substitute for what you're drinking that's unhealthy. A good sweetener for tea is always honey, local and/or raw and local is the best as that will have...
...
