kathy2d2 says "Mixed feelings about this machine" about Maytag Bravos Top Load Washer Model #MTW6600T

I originally wanted to buy a front loading HE washer, but changed my mind after reading so many bad reviews about the mold problems. The Maytag Bravos top loader HE washer seemed to be the answer. It has the same features as the front loaders (huge capacity, water saver, sanitary wash) but without the mold problem. I also like that I can pause it and add a garment at any time, or change the settings without having to wait, unlike the front loaders.

I really wanted to LOVE this machine, since it was so expensive (about 950.00), and for the most part I'm happy with it. BUT, the problem is that with a large item like a blanket, bedspread or even sheets, it tends to throw it off-center and everything ends up on one side of the machine in a big ball - sometimes the machine goes off, other times it just clumps along making a lot of noise and there is just no way the item will come unclumped. It usually happens after the wash cycle before it goes to rinse, and it DOES happen with...
...

kathy2d2 says "Sucks in a good way!" about Dyson Vacuum - DC18 - Slim All Floor

I wanted to buy a Dyson, but they are so big and clunky and heavy that I just knew I couldn't maneuver one. I have been using an 8 lb Oreck which is very easy to push around, but I was beginning to have my doubts as to how much dirt it was picking up.

When I saw the smaller, lighter Dyson DC18 on sale at Tuesday Morning I decided to give it a try. That was over a month ago, and I am still getting junk left behind out of my carpets. I have 3 cats, so there is a lot of cat hair to contend with and eventhough this is the smaller version, it is just amazing what it picks up. It is still a little heavy for me, but it's managable. My carpets never looked better, this thing really has some suction. I also like that I can immediately see what goes in, and it's rather easy to clean the plastic see-through tunnel.

I don't really use the attachments, so could do without the extra weight or cumbersomness of the attachments in the handle. Also, I would prefer the on/off switch to be at...
...

kathy2d2 says "Happy with Southwest Esperience" about Southwest Airlines

I only fly about 4 times a year so I'm not exactly a frequent flyer, and usually (unhappily) use Delta because I live in a rural area and don't have a lot of choice. Decided to drive to Raleigh and fly Southwest - I saved A LOT of money, even factoring in the 4 hour drive. Since the fare was so cheap I wasn't expecting much -- I was pleasantly surprised.

I had to change my flight plans after booking, and there was NO CHARGE. I also had 2 suitcases, again NO CHARGE. They were supposed to charge for drinks, and we had drinks on all the flights, but they never collected any thing. Also both legs of both flights (4 total) were ON TIME!

Since Southwest doesn't have assigned seating, everyone goes on rather fast so they can choose the best seating, which makes loading really fast - start to finish took about 10 minutes and we were off (on time). The flight attendants were friendlier than Delta, and seemed to try and make our flight enjoyable (which of course it never is, but as these...
...

kathy2d2 says "So Much Better Than Starbucks!" about Peet's Major Dickensens Blend

Peet's coffee is superior to any other coffee on the market. I have tried many brands, including the new Boca Java that is all the rage.

I've tried many of the flavors, and like them all, but my favorite is the Major Dickensens Blend. It is smooth and rich, with absolutely no bitterness at all like Starbucks seems to be.

Although Peet's is a San Francisco Bay Area coffee, it can be ordered on line for a minimal shipping charge. They grind it fresh and send it right out, it hasn't been sitting around in a warehouse or grocery store getting stale. You can always count on it's freshness.

Another thing I like is that you can order your preferred "grind" - I always get mine ground in the "expresso grind" because it seems richer and you don't have to use as much.

Peet's Coffee is delicious!
...

kathy2d2 says "I LOVE THIS MAKEUP!" about Avon Mineral Makeup

Very easy to apply, full coverage makeup that leaves your face fresh looking. I hesitated to try it because I had previously used Sheer Cover (from the TV informercial) and didn't care for it. Avon's mineral makeup gives a much nicer, fresher look.

The other thing I like is that there is absolutely no masky look, it is so even and it brushes up so nice from the neckline. Caution, a little goes a long way, you don't need to use much.

Avon has a lot of colors to choose from, and they do give a guarantee, so if you didn't like the color you chose, you could exchange it. I found that the color I normally wear in Avon in the liquid, was a bit darker in the mineral makeup, so I exchanged it for a lighter shade and it was just right.

The price is right too, when it's on sale, it is less than ANY mineral makeup I have seen anywhere, and when it is not on sale, it's still less than most.
...

kathy2d2 says "My hair feels great" about BioInfusion Color Care Shampoo

Just tried this shampoo on a whim - it was on sale at Walgreens, not sure if BioInfusion is their own brand of "premium type" shampoo, but whatever it is, I absolutely love it.

It's creamy and leaves hair in nice condition, eventhough it does not contain conditioner. The smell is heavenly. After blowing my hair out, it looks really nice each day.

Although I usually don't mind paying more for shampoo (I figure you get what you pay for), I was thrilled to find this on sale for 9.99 for a huge (I think 33 oz) bottle. This works every bit as well as Pureology for about a 10th of the price!
...
