kated1999 says "Great idea, poorly executed" about Fisher Price Sesame Street Giggle and Go Garage

The pieces come apart very easily, so that is how most of our play time is spent with this toy. The engineering of the ramps and elevator make it very unlikely that the cars will properly go up in the elevator and then come down across the sensors as they were designed to do. Cars get stuck fairly often. The noises are cute, but they get pretty annoying after awhile. Fortunately, there's an "off" switch.

The cars are adorable, and we spend a lot of time playing with them away from the ramp/car wash set. I was so excited when this product came out - we love cars, ramps, etc. However, I think Fisher-Price figured that the Sesame Street affiliation would sell enough units that they didn't have to worry about quality or durability. We have been pretty disappointed with the product.
...

kated1999 says "Love it!" about Fisher Price Healthy Care Booster Seat

It goes everywhere with us - we use it both on chairs and on the floor, in a pinch. The seat is very convenient to use and easy to carry. When our daughter was not old enough to sit without support, we used the seat in hotel rooms so that she wasn't rolling around on hotel floors while we were both busy working, packing, etc.

Our only genuine complaint is that there are only three settings, so most of the time, the tray is either too tight against the tummy or is far enough away that a lot of things slip between the tray and the lap. We solved the problem by using bibs with scoops at the bottom.
...

kated1999 says "Annoying, but she loves it!" about Fisher-Price TMX Elmo

It's obnoxious, but my daughter couldn't stop playing with it. She got it for her first birthday, but wasn't really into the toy for several more months. It held up to 3 months of solid abuse before it started to show signs of dysfunction (that could not be fixed by replacing the batteries). Then, the non-mechanical arm broke away from the body and sort of hangs there, and the mechanical parts are starting to behave strangely....

kated1999 says "Functional Custom Dinnerware" about Fiesta 5-piece place setting

Fiestaware is classic and fantastic. There are tons of available colors. We chose a large mix of colors to add vibrance to our kitchen. Even if they discontinue one of our colors, it is easy to replace. They are substantial plates - they have a nice heft and make a terrific presentation.

The coffee mugs that come with the 5-piece setting are pretty useless - they are cute, but very small.

The enamel shows scratches pretty quickly, but they do not affect the surface or the quality. Fiestaware rules!...

kated1999 says "Noisy FUN!!!" about Playskool Busy Ball Popper

We have loved the Busy Ball Popper since we first saw the commercial on television. Our daughter received it for her first birthday, and it has been a hit with infants through great grandmothers!

Playskool offers replacement balls, which aren't a bad idea, especially if you are giving this as a gift. If the balls aren't moving much, try replacing the batteries - the fan runs out of juice long before the music slows down.

The fan is pretty loud, and the music isn't exactly quiet, either. It's a great gift for grandma's house :) It stays in a room far away from sleeping and working areas at our house.
...
