kat9948 says "Goes on smooth and keeps lips moist" about Nivea Lip Care A Kiss Of Moisture, Hydrating Lip Care SPF 4

I needed a new lip balm to use before going to bed and decided to try this one. I am very happy with this one. It goes on extremely smoothly and keeps my lips moist all night. I like that it has a little bit of sunscreen in it so when I do use it during the day it protects my lips. It was a little expensive but worth the price. The only drawback that I have found is the tube that it is in. When you try to put it on it tends to slip back into the tube. And it does not have flavor to it, but that is more a personal preference than a drawback to the product. It does not get sticky at all. But overall I really like this product.
...

kat9948 says "Quick, easy to use Liquid Eyeliner" about CoverGirl LineExact Liquid Eyeliner

I bought this eyeliner a few months ago when my old one ran out. It is really easy to use, and the brush tip is the perfect strength and size. Since you use it like a pencil it is easy to manage. You don't have to worry about stray brush hairs getting eyeliner all over the place. The biggest problem I have is that it can go on a little too thick if you are not careful with it. The line does not smudge, so I've had to figure out ways to smudge it myself when I need to. It stays in place all day with no problem and comes off easily with eye makeup remover. I would buy this again next time I need a new liquid eyeliner.
...

kat9948 says "Did the job, but not that impressive" about Dyson Animal DC17 All Floor Vacuum

I work at a small company and we recently needed a new vacuum. My coworker was dying to get a Dyson, so we decided to get one. It was more expensive than the boss wanted to pay, but since we heard nothing but good reviews he figured it was worth the investment. Unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations. I will admit the business does get plenty of foot traffic, so vacuuming every night it needed to pick up a lot of dirt. But even so, after the first month it did not pick up as much, and now about 6 months later it hardly picks up anything at all. It is not very powerful and is hard to clean and put back together. Understandably the filter needs cleaning all the time, but even when it has just been cleaned it still has a hard time cleaning anything up. It does an ok job, but I would get something else next time.
...

I got this calculator years ago. I'm graduating college in 2 months (and counting!) and it's still the only calculator that I turn to for every class. The display is large and I love being able to see what I just typed in so I can fix it if I made a mistake. It has plenty of memory, so I was able to download games and other software to use when I was in a boring class. :) The graphing function is fairly easy to use and it can do a lot of mathmatical equations and functions. My favorite thing on it is the fraction to decimal capability for those days when I don't want to have to do it in my head. It is durable, and I have dropped mine many times with no problems. The battery life is extremely long too. I believe I have only had to change the batteries 2 or 3 times in the last 6 years with extensive use. Awesome calculator for anyone level of math.
...

My husband was bugging me to get him a Big Green Egg (BGE) for his birthday this year, so I finally caved and got it. It was more expensive than I wanted to pay, so I was leary about how good a grill it would be and was hoping it wouldn't disappoint. It definitely didn't! This grill/smoker/oven is fantastic! Everything we have cooked on it has come out great. It's good for beginners since it's nearly impossible to mess up the food. We've smoked ribs, grilled salmon, steaks, chicken, and more. We even made pretzels in it. They all came out great. My husband said it is awesome how moist everything comes out. We never got that on our old BBQ. The only drawback on the grill is you have to be careful when lifting the lid. If you do it too quickly the top vent flies off and hits the ground. It is fairly expensive (we got the medium sized one) but it truly is worth the investment.
...

I tried this for the first time last week. Put it into the drier and have done several loads since then. My husband always forgets to put in a drier sheet. For the last week all my laundry is coming out perfect. He gets nagged less, my laundry smells clean and doesn't have static, and we're all happier. I'm not sure how well it works long-term, and it is a little pricy for what you get. But if it stays working this well I'll definitely keep buying them. It's just so nice to just stick it in there and forget about it.
...

My aunt helped me set up my new IRA at Schwab several years ago. Being a new college student and part time employee I was unsure of everything and anything to do with retirement savings. I have never actually gone in to see anyone at Schwab, but every email I have written has come back within two or three days, usually within 24 hours. The responses I get are accurate and friendly and give me the information I was looking for. The phone operators are also as polite and friendly as the email people. I would definitely reccommend Schwab to people starting out, or having years of investing experience.
...

The place to visit if you can get there! The sights are like nothing else. The geysers and mud pots are great. While the smells can be a little off-putting, it just goes with the rest of the scenery. It gets packed during the summer, and I hate crowds, so it can be a little too full at times. Check out the tours with guides. On one tour we got to go off the beaten path and see a giant mud pot that was off limits to anyone without a guide. Definitely an awesome sight! We stayed in tents the whole time we were there, and I would do it that way again. Showers can be pricy, but the money you save sleeping in a tent is worth the slight annoyance. The animals are everywhere, and the speed limit is slow, but don't speed! We saw rangers pulling over people all over the place. I hope to go back again soon! You can't see everything in one trip, and there's more than just Old Faithful.
...

I bought this a few months ago and love it. It got my husband moving, and by competing against each other it got him playing more just to try and beat me. The games are fun, and the yoga and strengthening moves are definitely going to make you work. But the balance games don't do much as far as a workout goes. I go to the gym regularly and would not use this as a replacement. It's something more just to have fun. But for anyone who is a couch potato, this will get you started moving around more. The hula-hoop game is a classic. Just a tip: if you're having a friend try it for the first time, get a video camera ready. I was cracking up the whole time my husband tried the first time.
...

It took me forever before I could find a Wii in stores, but the wait was worth it! I love this thing. It's fun playing with friends and gets you moving instead of just sitting there watching the TV. It even got my husband off the couch. The biggest problem with this system is a lack of really good games. We got a few, but for the most part they are not the best. The Wii remote takes a little getting used to, but it's really quick to catch on. I like that it can play other games too, and the Wii shopping network is great! I bought some old-school NES and SNES games that I hadn't played in years. This is a fun consol for people who aren't big gamers. If you want something with more depth, get an X-Box of Playstation.
...

I've had this card for a few years now and have never had any problems. I pay my whole balance off every month, so the slightly higher interest rate is not a problem for me. I use it to buy everyday stuff like groceries and my gym membership, and just watch my rewards build up! The points can be used for cash or gift cards. I have gotten a couple checks so far and they are easy to purchase with points and come quickly. The only problem with the rewards points that I've seen is that it doesn't count my Safeway grocery store as a grocery store, so I could be earning my points faster. Also, a few months ago someone tried to steal my card number. They did not contact me, but when my card suddenly stopped working I had to call them to find out why they cancelled the card. I'm glad they stopped it, but wish I had gotten a phone call instead of being stranded without money to pay for gas.
...

We use this vacuum at my work. A coworker convinced my boss that this was the most wonderful vacuum in the world. We've had it now for almost 2 years, and I hate it. It worked well at first, but now it hardly sucks up any of the dust or dirt on the floor. We use it to vacuum a very small shop 5 days a week. The filter gets clogged too quickly, and as soon as it clogs up the entire machine stops picking up anything else. It takes 24 hours to let the filter dry after cleaning, which makes it difficult for us since we need it almost every day. The machine is now having problems coming apart to even empty the waste out of it, and I needed a customer to help me pry the thing open one day. Maybe it works well for light home cleaning, but for anyone who likes cleaning the house a couple days a week, this is definitely not the right vacuum.
...

I love this place! I've been there many times. The food is great and the portion sizes are usually quite large. The place is usually packed and they don't take reservations, so there's definitely a wait time. The servers are fun and are willing to joke around with your table. The bartenders are not always the friendliest though. I went for my birthday a few years ago and the bartender was dragging his feet when making my drink. The place is big inside, but they have a ton of tables, so it's hard to get to the bathroom. The decor is not the most elegant, but it's BBQ, so what do you expect? The decor fits the image of Famous Daves.
...

I have had this phone (in green) for a little over a year now. So far it's been great. The best part is definitely having a full keyboard. I text more than talk, so it makes my life a lot easier. I don't use too many of the other features on the phone, though, so the music player and GPS are useless to me. I use the camera. I like that it has a cover for the lens, but hate that the lens cover always slides off when I am just carrying the phone around with me. I used to have a RAZR and miss having a USB port to upload my own songs. The battery life over the last month has suddenly cut in half without any unusual use. But overall it's a good phone.
...

I have tried many different lotions, but this is definitely my choice for everyday lotion. I get really bad dry skin in the winter, and using this every day keeps my skin nice and smooth. The lotion is not too think, and soaks into my skin quickly. It's not greasy at all and lasts all day. I started buying the bigger bottle after I tried it the first time to see if I liked it. It is not that expensive, and for what you get, it is well worth the price. The dispenser is great, but when you get to the bottom of the bottle it's hard to get the last of it out. If Vaseline made a longer tube to the very bottom of the bottle instead of only part way down it would make it easier to get more lotion out. I think my second biggest complaint is that they do not make a man's version. My husband's skin is drier than mine, but the lotion is too "girly" for him to use.
...

kat9948 says "Campus for all ages" about San Jose State University

I've been at SJSU for a year now. The campus is always beautiful and well maintained. Most of the teachers enjoy what they teach and try to bring that joy to the students. It is pricy if you are only taking one or two classes, but for someone going full-time it is well worth the money. The GE councilors do not always understand the student's need, but the major councilors are excellent and know exactly what they can and cannot help with in regards to classes to take and what is needed to graduate. I live off-campus and take the light rail in, which saves on gas, and the school gives you a free pass to ride, so I definitely recommend doing that instead of trying to find parking. Parking there is a nightmare.
Overall an excellent education, but with a very defined liberal basis.
...

kat9948 says "You get what you pay for" about Kodak - EasyShare V1003

I bought this camera a few months ago. It was on sale and my old one was driving me nuts, so it was time for something different.
First of all, I love the colors it comes in! I got the light lavender one, and absolutely love it. When I go to friend's houses, it's always easy to tell which one is mine when everyone leaves their cameras just floating around the house.
The price was really good, and I know it's going down further right now (like most tech stuff does).
The picture quality is excellent...most of the time. But I sometimes have problems getting the camera to focus correctly, and end up with tons of slightly blurry pictures. I do like the gauge that tells you if the picture is blurry or not, I just wish there were less blurry ones to begin with. The battery lasts for quite a while, but I don't know how well it holds up in the long run.
Overall I love how small it is, it's easy to bring anywhere, and is really easy to use. Just point and click.
...
