karissa20 says "Annoying, not customer serivce minded" about Farm Bureau Insurance

Chose Farm Bureau-Texas because family memebers had used them for years, knew the folks working there, and they are the only insurance place in town.
When I opened my policy I told them (the same people who knew my family and by extension, me) that I would be graduating from college in a month and would be taking a position out of state a month after that.
So, I signed up for the policy, one month later graduated from college, and two months after that moved out of state.
I called to change my address and was told that they could not cover me out of the state and would be dropping me immediately from coverage. Dumbfounded, I asked why they had knowingly covered me in the first place. They didn't have an answer. Instead they had to "get back to me" on that one. The next day they called and said they could cover me for the remainder of the policy but then would be dropping the coverage.
My annoyances 1) they covered me knowing that I would be moving out of state and 2) they couldn't or...
...

karissa20 says "Hassel-free service, good customer service, easy" about Progressive

Only my second auto/home insurance company to have to deal with in my lifetime but I have been happy with my service and policies.

Auto insurance - moved to another state and changing the policy was more than easy. The rep was very nice, very accommodating, and did all the work for me. I literally just called in, told them I was moving, gave my new address and then got off the phone.

Renter's insurance - cancelled the policy when I moved and kind of expected to get hasseled into transfering or by other means keeping the policy instead. So I was very happy to be wrong. Instead I simply called in, explained I was moving out of an apartment and did not have a home as yet, they cancelled the policy and told me the amount they would credit my bank account for the unused portion of the term.

What I have appreciated the most is talking to a very nice, English-speaking, intellegent rep every time I have called in. That alone has been worth my business.
...

karissa20 says "Basic, Inexpensive, Very cute, Lots of Options" about IKEA duvet cover

I was in the market for a duvet to protect my down comforter and have been for a while but they are pretty expensive for my blood. So when I found one at IKEA for like $20 I was so excited. In true IKEA style they had a whole wall of options with different looks and costs so you have more expensive options as well. Pretty much whatever you're looking for. What you get for $20 is a square of fabric that you can easily slip your comforter into, leaving a fairly large hole at the bottom. The comforter moves around inside and of course has a tendenc to bunch but a few easy modifications can fix all that. A+ in my book....

karissa20 says "Not worth it." about Hasbro Monopoly: Here and Now Electronic Banking

My family is a big lover of Monopoly and have adopted it as our get togethe must. So it was no surprise when my little brother asked for this new twist on the game for his birthday. The first disappointment was that the game costs around $25. This is comparing it to as low as $10 for the basic original. So we were definately expecting a pretty cool game for the price. Unfortuneately the amount of time that the banker spends swapping money with the new credit card method takes all of the fun out of the play. Now admitted this is probably a result of the speed at which my family plays because we play pretty fast. So you'll have to make your own considerations there.

What you get...
*several credit cards (one for each player which take the place of cash)
*one electronic cash machine (basic calculator with a card slot on each side for taking or giving money)
*new player tokens
*cool new locations from around the country (this edition is very all-American) such as Fenway Park
...

Absolutely loved this movie! Wonderful color, great message and just the right amount of surprise at the end. In truth this is my new favorite!

Couldn't help but start the movie all over again when it was over. It is full of cute details, hilarious scenes and catchy one liners.

Not the typical story from Disney which is refreshing.
...

karissa20 says "Comfort, Quality, and something to be proud of..." about Chevrolet Impala - 2006

I am a truck person at heart so I wasn't immediately in love.

After my first long distance ride I realized that the comfort of the driver's seat alone was worth the cost of the vehicle. It was one of the selling points but has turned into the most important factor in daily use.

On Star, while not a selling point for me, does add ease and security to the car. As a single girl I like the option of getting help anywhere, anytime. I have only used it once in two years but it was a great assistance. Returning from a busines trip out of town I found my battery dead, unable even to start. I called On Star from my cell phone and help arrived in about 30 minutes. For no charge at all they jumped my battery and hung around to verify I had no other problems. I did have two issues with the process though: 1. On Star runs off the battery and therefore can not be contacted from the vehicle when dead. 2. If you need to contact On Star and are unable to from the vehicle you must have their...
...

karissa20 says "Heavenly." about Sealy Posturepedic Mattress

I have a plush and can only describe it as heaven.

When I first brought the mattress home I couldn't sleep well for the first week because it was so soft (plush). It was drastically different from my previous mattress that it took some getting used to. Now it truely is like heaven. Love it.

I picked my mattress after trying out all the mattresses in the store. The one I chose was too expensive for my taste but I tried it anyway. In fact I fell asleep right there in the store and knew it would be a great choice. But I'm frugal and only began considering the mattress after hearing from the salesman that it was on clearance, almost half off!! The reason? Someone else had purchased the mattress and taken it home. After two days they had decided it wasn't for him and returned the mattress for a firmer style. Of course the salesman assured me the mattress was sanitary as Sleep Contry performs a thorough inspection and cleaning before considering an item for resale. Inspecting...
...
