Select Cut advertises having some of the best burgers in Chicago, and most of the time they are great but they could stand to lose a little of the grease before moving them from the grill to the bun. I've had my bun soaked in grease before...the taste is great, but come on...

Intelligentsia has the best coffee in the city - I am not a huge espresso fan as I don't think there is much difference in flavor between the various chains. However, as far as regular coffees go, Intelligentsia has the most flavorful and broadest selection I have ever seen. YUM!!

BTW - expect to wait a little for regular coffee because of the fact they make it with 'clover' machines - these are $12,000 machines that simulate a french press but get the coffee made in something less than a minute. I'll take totally fresh coffee and wait a little for it rather than drip coffee that has been made for an hour or more like at some cafes.

At Wildfire, you've GOT to try the bacon-wrapped horseradish-crusted filet --- my favorite Chicago steak!! I've never had a bad steak here...this place is really, really good. Great, actually!

Good but not great wine selection as one would expect from a neighborhood wine bar as opposed to a huge downtown wine bar. Great ambiance, lots of locals and good service.

Can also order food from the Dunlays On Clark menu which is the next door restaurant (thus the D.O.C. in the name), which is a nice plus since their food is basic but good.

Would recommend for a night out in Lincoln Park if you're not looking to travel far.

The Weber Grill is great every time I go - I've never had a bad meal there. They have a BBQ shrimp dish that is out of this world - anything BBQ there is fantastic, and I'm a guy who loves good BBQ!!
