juliemorgan02 says "I love my Quattro Tour" about Graco Quattro Tour (Ultralite)

I have three kids under 6 and we have had (NOT including four or five umbrella strollers) FIVE strollers. (We had some bad luck with durability, and some really good luck with deals!) I actually miss my original travel system the most, but only because it was so cute! I LOVE the Graco QuattroTour. I think it may be my favorite. It rides very smoothly, has a great parent console and child tray, and the basket is big enough for most people. (I, however, would love to have a basket the size of the 2003 Evenflo ones!) I have three little kids, two with asthma, and I breastfeed. So we bring about 10 diapers, a full wipes refill, two spare outfits, a sling and some toys in the diaper bag, plus I like to bring my Boppy pillow with me. We also bring an asthma bag and a change of clothes for our middle child. So our stuff doesn't usually fit in the basket! But it is quite roomy. I also like the bassinet feature, where you can velcro up the foot flap to eliminate the need...
...

juliemorgan02 says "I miss my DuoGlider!" about Graco DuoGlider Double Stroller

We just got rid of our DuoGlider recently because our middle child is four and we assumed that she would be an independent walker wherever we went. Well, mostly she is, but sometimes she wants a ride! No big deal, except now we only have a single stroller for our 10 month old! Our model was purchased in late 2004, and was still together and in decent shape when we got rid of it in early 2008. It made it 3 1/2 years with a LOT of use! Our oldest hit the weight limit at 2 1/2, but we kept using it because we needed it, and the stroller held up SO well! We really half expected it to kinda fall apart with a 45 pound four year old riding around all the time. The seat sagged a tiny bit, the basket mesh was ripped in a few places, the wheels squeaked, and the trays were dirty, but that is SERIOUSLY the only damage that was present after 3 1/2 years of use (abuse, really!)...

juliemorgan02 says "The Bumbo is a great idea, but NOT good for chubby babies!" about Bumbo Baby Seat

We got one of these at a local thrift store for an amazing SIX dollars! (Name brand even.) I was so excited, I couldn't wait to get it home (clean it) and try it out on our three month old. So... we got home, I cleaned it, waited until he was in a good mood, and put him into it. Well, PUT isn't the right word, I wedged him into it really. He loved the seat, but only for about 5 minutes, which was a good start, and when I went to pick him back up, I actually had to stand on the seat while lifting him up. We tried it maybe three more times, and it didn't go well. The last time I used it, I actually had to have my husband help me pry the baby out of it! (I had just needed a place to set him while I went potty and my husband was cooking) We got rid of it that day. I have heard all sorts of good things about it, but it just really didn't work for me...

By the way, my son was born large, 11 pounds even, and at three months he was just shy of 20 pounds.
...

juliemorgan02 says "Hanna Andersson's Swedish Moccasins are the BEST!" about Hanna Andersson Swedish Moccasins

A friend bought these for my now four year old daughter just before she turned one. We had been having trouble keeping shoes and socks on her; so much so that we would actually joke that she was allergic to all foot coverings! Well, these were given right before a trip to cold Cincinnati, where foot covering allergies would not be tolerated, and she wore them the entire trip! We took them off of her at bedtime (usually) and she would bring them to us again as soon as she woke up! Best of all, she wore that same pair until she was nearly three, when she started walking most places instead of riding in the stroller. (They were a bit big when she got them, but not huge.) They still look brand new, and when she saw them when I was trying to figure out where they came from for our youngest, (who coincidentally, is also allergic to foot coverings) she got very sad because they don't fit her! We will be buying the baby a new pair, because I think the pink leopard print won't go...
...
