julianfamily5 says "ALL the windows open!" about Toyota Sienna - 2004

I love my van! I bought it brand new in 2004. At the time, it was the only van whose middle seat windows went down. Not sure if that is still the case. Also, it was the van whose back seat could fold down 60/40. That works for me well because I have 3 kids. I need one of those seats in the back. Now I can fold down half of it, load in something big, but still have enough seats for my kids. There are TONS of cupholders. It drives well too.
...

julianfamily5 says "He is risen indeed!" about MagicJack VOIP Service

I recently got the Magic Jack to try and save money on my phone bill. So far, so good. All you do is plug the device into a USB port in your computer and it runs your telephone. Cool! It is VERY inexpensive and seems to work pretty well. You can see on your computer who is calling and use your mouse to answer the phone. The calls are clear too.

I did have a bit of trouble hooking it up at first. However, I followed the instructions given and it fixed itself very quickly. I have also noticed that surfing the web and talking on the phone at the same time can cause some slowness with my DSL connection. And I had to get a new set of phones in order for this to work, just because only one phone can be plugged into the Magic Jack. So I bought a system with satellite handsets. I have also had some trouble retrieving voicemail. But I havent' had any real problems yet. The only one I foresee if if/when the power goes out, no phone service. I guess we'll use the cell...
...

julianfamily5 says "He is risen indeed!" about Panasonic - Dect 6.0 Expandable Digital Cordless Answering System - 4 Handset System (KX-TG9334T)

I purchased these phones last week to accomplish many purposes. They have fulfilled each one very well! Not only does it require only one phone to be hook into a phone line (perfect for my MagicJack), but it also has an intercom system. This makes it very easy to talk to my kids upstairs on the other side of the house without yelling up the stairs. Also, each call is very clear. And the caller id talks! I don't even have to get up to see who is calling. If the number is programmed, it will say the name. If not, it will tell you the number. The buttons are a nice size and each one is clearly labeled. This phone system is easy to hook up and easy to use. I barely had to look at the booklet. I would highly recommend it!
...

julianfamily5 says "The only plan that works with real, unpackaged food!" about Weight Watchers

This program has been around for a while. That is because it works! I have tried to lose weight numerous times, and this is the only thing that works for me. Weight Watchers allows you to eat real foods of your choice. Not pre-packaged stuff. You can eat whatever you want! It's all a matter of choices.

Based on your weight, you have a certain number of points that you can have each day. (Or you can choose another method where you each as much as you want of certain foods.) Each food is given a point value. You can eat whatever you want, as long as your points for the day add up to less than or equal to your max points. It's all about choice. You can have that piece of cake if you want. But be prepared to sacrifice in other areas. It really causes you to stop and think about what you are putting in your mouth. Writing down everything you eat helps as well. If you're like me, you can grab a quick snack out of the pantry, and do that over and over again without...
...
