I love the John Flangan series The Rangers Apprentice. It a great read if you are a JJR Tolkin fan.It is a teen series but here lately the teen series are better than most adult series. Its about a group of orphans that live in a castle that are being gotten ready for becoming adults. Each area of castle life has jobs and the kids will be taking on these jobs buy become an apprentice. The main charater Will becomes a rangers apprentice.Warning to the wise don't forget any charater because they will come back. This a wonderful series for burning the midnight oil.Everyone I have told to read this series has loved it from cover to cover. My husband and his family cant wait till I get the next one.The only bad thing is the author is not american so his home country gets the books before us.I think there are sevens in the usa but around ten in the authors homeland with I think is New Zealand.
...

jrg2005 says "bite into a good book" about P. C. Cast and Kristin Cast - Hunted: A House of Night Novel

After reading the Twilight series I was left feeling empty.I needed to find a new series that would fill the grap that was left.I'm very happy to say I have found it.I started reading the House of the night series being a little unsure of what I had gotten into.It is a wonderful and very engrossing tale of a teen that is changing into a vampire and has four years to do so or she dies.Even with it being a teen series as an adult I still love it.The plots are interesting. If you are also into pagan or wiccan culture there are also many things that will hit the mark for you.I really enjoy reading the series and m looking forward to much more from the House of Night.
...

This is a great series.Fablehaven is for those that like adventure and strange creatures. The story is full of faries,a golem and witches.I have fallen in love with this series. If you like harry potter you will like these books.I would say they are for ages 12 and up because there are some scary parts in the books. They can be hard to find.I had buy copy off of amazon I just hate waiting for it come in the mail. This book would also be great for a classroom or a teacher because there are so many things that can be done on the morals side of things.I can't wait to read more.
...

Me and husband went to the new the Star Trek movie.I'm not a Star Trek fan but my husband is.I went into the movie knowing very little about the series.I was pleastly surprised.Even thought I knew next to nothing I really liked the movie.I did not feel left out or in the dark about anything that happened. It was action packed and a nice way to start the summer movie season. The special effects are great and the story line is clever and refreshing for a series that has been about for so long.I'm really looking forward to when it comes out on dvd.
...

jrg2005 says "Mariel is an adventure classic in the making" about Brian Jacques - Mariel of Redwall

Mariel of Redwall by Brian Jacques is a delightful adventure. It will take you back to the classics of The Hobbit andThe Secert of Nim.There are well told and well writen. There is nothing obsene in any of the Redwall books. They are a great family read.I was very surprised how many people from young to old really enjoy reading these books. Its is also nice to find that there are many books in this series so the tales never end and but do leave you hanging at times(which all good books should)They make for a great relaxing summer read its just deciding who gets to read it first.
...

jrg2005 says "smart books for teens and adults" about Eoin Colfer - Artemis Fowl

The book in the series Artemist Fowl by Eoin Colfer are smart, funny and well writen. They do not take advange of the fact they are for teens and young adults which makes them a great get away for adult readers. There are a few minor bad words every so often but even in the later Harry Potter books I remeber finding a few. This is a story line that expects its readers to be smart so in turn you get a daring, intellagent and humreus book.I'm not not kidding when I say these books are for young adults and up.I'm 26 and love them,my husband is 28 and fell into them and my father-in-law is in his late 40s and drops everything when I get a new one. Please Mr.Colfer write faster!I can't wait to read the next one.
...

jrg2005 says "wonderful for a sweet tooth" about Smucker's Magic shell cupcake

I love smuckers newest magic shell flavor cupcake. This stuff is great if you have a huge swwet tooth. Its sweet, creamy and small speckles of spreckles in it.I tried it over vanilla ice cream ans vanilla frozen yogurt and both ways taste great to me.I do not like choclate so I'm up for trying anything new that does not have choclate in it.If you like the sweetness of dairy queens cotton candy blizzard that comes out every summer this is so for you.I prices around 2.50 to 3.00 bucks in my area which is florida so its not a big hurt on the wallet.Hope you try it and enjoy
...

Twilight is a great book. Its hard to believe its for teens because of how well it is wrote. The book seems to begin as any other boring teen book but shortly takes off into a vampire, romance, adventure wrapped all into one.I quicky feel in love with how the story is told and soon after begin to iditfy with the cast of charters.I ran to the book store to find the other three in the saga after reading the first one.I can't wait till I'm ready to read the saga all over again because I'm sure I will come to love it even more as time passes.
...
