joni4122 says "Lets the big potty fit your little kid" about Mommy's Helper Cushie Traveler Folding Padded Potty

The Mommy's Helper Cushie Tushie Traveler Folding Padded Potty is a mouthful of a name but a great traveling potty topper that can be put right over top of a regular toilet seat to allow your toddler to fit without fear of falling in!

I'd read about other folding traveling potty seats online and heard horror stories from moms who said their kids' bottoms got pinched in the folds of the plastic seat. Not so with the cushie tushie! It's padded and folds easily, fits both round and oval toilet seats and comes with its own carrying bag.

We've used this while traveling to restaurants, hotels and grandmother's house. No more holding your toddler over a public toilet seat or having them try to balance while going potty. The cushie tushie seat is just their size and lets them be more independent. My girl likes to get her own toilet paper off the roll and doesn't like "help" on the potty. This seat topper is the perfect size to allow her to do that. The underside is hard plastic and can be...
...

joni4122 says "Have a potty anywhere away from home!" about Fisher Price Active Gear: Potty On-the-Go

The Fisher Price Potty On-the-Go is one of the best pieces of baby/toddler gear we've ever purchased. It comes in a a great nylon carrying bag with plenty of pockets for extras and a shoulder strap. Looks so cool no one will know you're carrying around a potty!!

Inside, the potty is easy to set up by locking the three legs. It comes with plastic bags and absorbant pads but any grocery store or kitchen garbage bag will do and, in a pinch, a sanitary pad works inside so no reordering of specialty pads.

This Potty On-the-Go is perfect for those times at the playground when there is no bathroom available or only a questionably clean porta-potty. We keep the Fisher Price potty in our car and I can set it up in the hatchback so my kids can use it right inside the car.

We've also pulled it out alongside the road on long car trips in a potty emergency because it's comfortable and discreet. It's also sturdy so no folding up while kids are on it.

The best part is that it gives my kids and me...
...

joni4122 says "Lets you hear every peep" about Sony BabyCall Nursery Monitor NTM-910 900 MHz

The Sony Baby Call monitor is so sensitive, you can hear every breath your baby takes. The first time I used it, I turned the volume up and was jarred awake when my baby cried. It was LOUD! We've since learned to turn it down! It's so sensitive, that even upstairs, it can pick up the sound of a television being played in the living room below.

While the base unit stays plugged in in baby's room, the other, rechargeable unit can be plugged in by your bed or taken along to any area of the house. It has a handy carrying handle on top and a belt clip on back to keep it securely with you. And, if you get out of the base unit range, a red light blinks and an alarm sounds letting you know you've gotten too far away to hear baby.

It operates on different channels so you can adjust it until it works at optimum performance for you and can be set to "off," "on" or "voice activated," which only comes on if a noise is heard.

This baby monitor gave me the freedom to get chores done and never miss...
...

joni4122 says "Dr. Brown's saved my sanity!" about Dr. Brown's Natural Flow Baby Bottle

Dr. Brown's 8 oz. nurser baby bottles saved me from going crazy when my baby vomited and cried constantly. Every time he was fed, my little guy would vomit almost the whole bottle. I tried the angled bottles I used with my daughter, but he still couldn't keep his formula down and developed gas pains, causing him to cry when we put him down.

After spending several nights driving him around in my car just to get him to quiet down and sleep, I found Dr. Brown's online and went right out the next day and bought them. My son's vomiting and crying stopped immediately! The look like regular, plastic baby bottles from the outside. No unusual shape, no disposable liner. But inside, a long tube and vented cap help regulate bottle flow and control air getting into the bottle, which translates into less gas in my baby's belly and less vomiting.

Thank goodness we found Dr. Brown's. I highly recommend them for colicky babies and those that suffer with gas and vomiting. They are a lifesaver!
...

joni4122 says "A high chair that grows with your child" about Evenflo Easy Fold

We've been using our Evenflo Easy Fold high chair for five years and it's still going strong.

Set at full height with the seat tilted all the way back, this high chair can be used to feed even a newborn. Remove the tray, lower the height and it can easily slide under your kitchen or dining table as an extra seat for a toddler. Our 3-year-old still uses it three times a day with the tray and our 5-year-old can use it as a chair to sit at the computer and play her games!

It has a large removable tray with a cupholder cut out. The tray features a pop-off, easy-to-clean cover with two dividers so kids can eat right off the tray like a TV tray (though mine always used plates). There is a secure seatbelt so kids can't fall out and a plastic separator between their legs so they can't wriggle out the bottom either - you know what Houdinis kids can be!

With the large, white tray removed, there is still a small snack tray underneath so there is always a sturdy barrier keeping kids secure, not...
...

joni4122 says "Tamilee Webb's instruction is rock solid" about The Best of Tamilee

I've been exercising with Tamilee Webb videos for 8 years. Though I've never bought any of her most famous "Buns of Steel" titles, I love her "best of" series focusing on abs, arms, buns and total body.

Tamilee is a great instructor. She's encouraging and professional and, as a woman over 40, I like following someone in my own age group who still looks great through working out. Tamilee Webb makes all her workouts safe and effective. She's easy to follow and doesn't go so fast that you're lost on the very first viewing. I never bore of hearing her words of encouragement or instruction even after seeing her DVDs dozens of times.

The "Best of Tamilee" DVD combines arm, ab and buns workouts, as well as warm up and cool down with a bonus yoga instruction. You can select which workouts you want to incorporate as you please or play the whole video through for a full body workout. Use the yoga portion on your "off" workout days or for stretching after your strength training workout.
...

joni4122 says "Window World is the best for replacement windows" about Window World Comfortworld 6000

We purchased Comfortworld 6000 replacement windows from Window World two years ago for our 56-year-old home with its original windows. I can't say enough about the professionalism of this company and the quality of its products.

An easy-to-read menu allows you to customize windows your way. You can choose from basic, vinyl replacement windows to double pane, gas-filled premier windows with interior grids. They tilt in for easy cleaning and contain screens that pop in and out for storage or cleaning. We added custom exterior trim and were able to get high-quality windows at a fraction of the price of the home store, department store or other window companies.

Our Window World representatives were not high-pressure salesmen like some of the others we encountered and they stand behind their products, which come with a lifetime warranty, including glass breakage. When we had an issue with a large bay window, the company owner himself came out and made the adjustment.

The windows are beautiful,...
...

joni4122 says "Proform 385 is a workhorse, basic treadmill" about Proform 385

My Proform 385 treadmill is a dozen years old and one of the brand's older models, but it still performs like a workhorse. It is motorized and folds up for easy storage, but has a manual, rather than automatic incline. Still, I can easily adjust it to an incline just by jumping off for a couple of seconds.

Speeds range up to 10 mph, but I average around 4 mph and do power walking. It has a safety clip that stops the treadmill if it gets pulled out - a great feature to prevent injury if you should trip up (which, thankfully, has never happened to me!).

The Proform 385 also has a time/distance display and a display for calories and fat calories burned. Though it lacks some of the bells and whistles of newer models (heart rate monitor, fan and programmable workouts), it's longevity and dependibility can't be beat.

I've been planning to upgrade my treadmill but can't justify it while this one is still working so great every single day. One thing is for sure, when it is time to upgrade, I'll...
...

joni4122 says "Professional flat iron that lasts and lasts" about Sedu Flat Iron

I've owned the Sedu Ionic Pro Ceramic Flat Iron for at least 4 years and have loved the results I get every day. I've had short, medium and long hair over the course of the time I've owned this product. My hair is thick and very wavy with a tendency to become frizzy. The Sedu flat iron takes all the frizz away and I get stick-straight results until the next time I wash my hair - through humidity, even light rain.

Truth be told, I've wanted to try other flat irons and have been waiting for my Sedu to quit working so I could buy something different but it just won't die! I even bought a less expensive, sleeker flat iron at a discount store and used it once. It was supposed to be hotter than mine (mine goes to 250 degrees. The new one supposedly heated to 400) but definitely didn't seem hotter and didn't give the great results I get with the Sedu. It also pulled on my hair.

My Sedu has never once pulled my hair. I bought it after reading reviews of all the more expensive, professional grade...
...

joni4122 says "Ruth's Chris beats the casino restaurants hands down." about Ruth's Chris Steak House - Atlantic City, NJ

I had heard about Ruth's Chris Steak House while I lived in California but never experienced it until a few weeks ago in Atlantic City, NJ. I suggested it to my family instead of the usual casino fine dining. Ruth's Chris Atlantic City provides valet parking, a definite plus as it's location is in The Walk, and outdoor, upscale outlet zone with little parking.

From the start, everyone was courteous and professional from the valet to the host to our server and busboy. The atmosphere was elegant and quiet, a welcome change from the bustle of the street just outside. A dimly lit room with dark furniture, soft music and sheer curtains on the windows was a world away from the blanging of the casinos and the hustle of the boardwalk. It was like stepping into a different world.

Our server was knowledgeable and made us feel welcome. The food was fantastic! My husband, father and two brothers - all big steak eaters - loved every bite and my dad reported those legendary sizzling service plates...
...
