jolee says "Being renovated at this time but the location and rooms are good" about Stockholm Sheraton - Stockholm, Sweden

My husband and I recently stayed at the Stockholm Sheraton before heading off on a 7 night Baltic Sea cruise. Unfortunately the hotel is in the middle of renovations but we stayed in a newly renovated room so it was very nice. The only negative to this room was that the so called air conditioning didn't work very well so we slept with the window open every night. This seems to be a problem in most hotels in Europe since they usually don't need AC. The breakfast room had a great view and the food was very good. — We like to walk around when we travel so the location was great for this. The hotel is located right across the island of Gamla Stan (Old Town) with many shops and restaurants in this unique setting. Also we were just blocks away from catching a boat for a canal tour and only blocks away from their pedestrian shopping street. We were even withing a short walking distance of the Absolut Ice Bar and it was very safe to walk...

jolee says "Location, Location, Location" about Copenhagen Marriott - Copenhagen, Denmark

My husband & I just spent two nights at the Copenhagen Marriott after a 7 night Baltic Sea cruise. We were very happy with the accommodations. It is just like what you would expect of any Marriott but the location was amazing. Located on a canal you could take a water taxi just about anywhere for a very inexpensive price which is the only bargain to be found in such an expensive destination where our American dollar is not worth much. The rooms all have views. I was disappointed that we did not get the canal view but was pleasantly surprised that instead we had a view of Tivoli amusement park and the amazing fireworks display. So not matter where you room is I think you will have a great view! — The included breakfast was great but what I really enjoyed was the delicious lattes. The restaurant has large windows so no matter where you are sitting you have a great view of the canal. — Another great plus to this location is that...

jolee says "Small luxury ship with wonderful service, destinations & food" about Regent Seven Seas Cruises - Seven Seas Voyager

My husband & I just returned from a Baltic Sea cruise with Regent Seven Seas that included Scandinavia & Russia. This is our fifth cruise with Regent that was originally known as Radisson. Some might say they are too expensive but all tipping is included plus any alcohol or nonalcoholic beverages which can really add up on those other cruises. The small size of their ships keeps us from waiting in long lines getting on and off the ship and the land excursions are smaller groups. Also the food is five star dining every night and I like the fact that you can get healthier options on the menu items. For anyone wanting to visit Russia but feel completely protected and safe, this is the way to go. The beginning and ending ports were Stockholm and Copenhagen which were both very beautiful and we stayed two nights in each of those ports. The Absolut Ice Bar is not to be missed - they have one in Stockholm and Copenhagen. They were very...
