jnicolicchia says "Great commuter car." about Ford Focus - 2001

We've had our 2001 Ford Focus ZX3 for 5 years now. The only problem we've ever had was a bad sensor and a minor problem with the starter. Both understandable in a 6yo vehicle. This car is perfect for our daily commute! I keep track of each tank of gas to see what kind of mileage we are getting - we average about 33 mpg, which includes plenty of city driving. — — When we had kids, we had to graduate to a bigger vehicle to haul car seats around - they do fit in the back of this two-door hatchback. However, getting the seats/kids in and out is not fun. If you have kids that can get in and buckle themselves, it would be no problem. — — It also has a suprising amount of trunk space. My husband, friend, and I, would all go play golf weekly and packed our three good-sized sets of clubs in the back - along with my husbands three-wheel push cart. — I do agree the vehicle has some road noise - I only notice...

jnicolicchia says "A must have for my infant daughter!" about Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

We received the papasan seat as gift before our daughter was born. She was in that little seat the day she came home from the hospital and everyday after until she was able to sit up very strongly (around 5-6mo.) Once she could sit up, she still liked sitting in her chair, but could potentially fall out, so my sitting right next to her at every moment didn't last too long. :) — — I found the papsan to be a lifesaver! She could sit in it so I could take a quick shower (something all new moms know is hard to come by), and I could pick her up in and and easily move it from room to room. I enjoyed the fact that it was very plush, stable, and washed up easily. My daughter did not particularly care for the vibrating feature, but she did like the music. I agree with some other reviews that the seat may be a bit boring - but if your child is content with just looking around for periods at a time, then it will be perfect...

jnicolicchia says "Research says it's the best, and I 100% agree!!!!!!" about Britax Roundabout Car Seat

My breastfed daughter quickly exceeded the weight limitation of her infant seat. I did extensive research on her next seat which would have to be a convertible as she was not old enough to face forward. The Britax Roundabout was without a doubt the best rated seat in government research as well as in consumer reviews. The only downside is the price - but it really is worth every penny. I read some negative reviews that said the plush fabric would get to hot for their children, but I've never had a problem with this. In the hot summer months when my daughter is in shorts, there is a little cushioned flap to ensure her legs don't get pinched by the restraint straps. This is definately the best car seat out there - I won't consider another for my next...
