jmonwood says "This made having braces easier" about Sonicare Elite Electric Toothbrush

After 2 years of old fashioned "metal mouth", I complete orthodontics last August. As a patient in her 50's, I was particularly concerned about periodontal problems while the braces were on and my general dentist definitely recommended a Sonicare toothbrush. I bought this shortly after I had the braces installed and immediately noticed that my mouth would feel fresher longer after I had used the Sonicare rather than the small portable toothbrush the orthodontist gave me. At my very first check up, the orthodontist commented on my "excellent hygiene" and asked what I was doing. When I mentioned the Sonicare, he said he wished more of his patients would invest in one because with the expense of braces, this is a small thing to make things cleaner and better throughout treatment. I did eat through brushed every 3 months or so but it was well worth it. Now that I don't have the braces, the brushes last far longer but I still have that nice fresh feeling.
...

jmonwood says "Very easy to use!" about Plantronics - Voyager 510

I received this headset from my son last Mother's Day and it has been reliable, easy to use and a great help, particularly when I am on the road. I had absolutely no trouble synching it up with my cell phone and it has worked very reliably every single time I use it. It is lightweight, fits my ear very well and seems to have a great battery life. I use it regularly and it seems to hold a charge for quite a long time. I like the small size--if i want to take it off and drop it in a jacket or slacks pocket, it is so small it is undetectable. I wondered how well it would work, being so small and away from my mouth but it has never caused a problem. With the small size, I also find my hair covers it and it isn't so obvious--I don't look like the old time telephone operator! The buttons are a little small, fine for me but I don't know if a man with large fingers would have difficulty working some of the features.
...

jmonwood says "turned out to be a good choice for me" about LG - enV VX9900 Cell Phone

I am one of those people who hang on to a cell phone til it starts to give me trouble or it is time for a new free or next to free phone. I am a pretty basic user, just want to be able to call reliably. I have been with Verizon since 2003 so I haven't changed phones very often but this time, I wanted to be sure I could use my new phone for internet access if I chose to. I have had 2 LG phones in the past that were extrememly reliable and in fact were working perfectly when I got new ones and donated the old model so I looked towards another LG. I was concerned that I might not like the fact it wasn't a flip phone but it has never been a problem with the lock protecting from unexpected dialing. I find the features very easy to use, the camera is better than I expected and the cost was very reasonable. The battery is long lasting but when it is ready to go--it just goes with little warning!
...

jmonwood says "One of the best gifts I have ever received!" about KitchenAid Stand Mixer - Classic

My son bought this stand mixer for me for Christmas 2007 and it is one of the best, most used and loved gifts I have ever received! I always say you know your kids have grown up when then buy you things like this and I am sure glad he did. He knew I was still using a small hand mixer and remembers all the laughs we would have when I was teaching him to cook and batter would fly when he turned the little mixer the wrong way. After hearing all his friends who are very much into cooking rave about this mixer, he decided Mom needed to have one too. He has become an avid cook and big time online shopper and told me he found a great deal on Amazon. After using it for over a year, I think that whatever he paid, I have definitely gotten his money's worth already. It is so easy to use, never ends up with a mess and the quality of what I make is far better. I even noticed the first cake I made--just a box mix-- turned out smooth and baked so evenly. I expect to use it for decades!
...

jmonwood says "Solved my problem" about Whirlpool Satina

I hadn't bought a new refrigerator since 1982 for a previous house so shopping for a new one was an experience, The one in my kitchen came with the house when I bought it in 1987 and was still working well but I just KNEW it would go out on me some weekend when I had just filled the freezer so shopping I went. My first shock was the dimensions I had to work with--my old fridge was wide but not deep and the spot it went into in my kitchen dictated that I get another one that was similar in dimensions--or I wouldn't be able to open my back door!!! Despite the fact that most of the new fridges have an enclosed back (coils aren't exposed), most are much more deep and narrow than my old one. I looked at what seemed like a zillion models til I found this one at my local Sears store. It is smaller (17.6 cubic feet) and the ice maker takes up a bit of space but for an almost empty nester, it seems to fit the bill. I love the satina finish--really updated the look of my kitchen along with...
...

jmonwood says "Excellent value" about Frigidaire FEF366EC 30"

After having the same stove for over 20 years (and it wasn't new, it was the one that came with the house when I bought it!), I decided it was time to spring for a new flat top range. I knew I wanted something relatively easy to use and keep clean and did quite a bit of research before I found the Frigidaire ES 366 EC 30 model. I found that it had been receiving really good comments on several online review sites so I decided to check it out locally. I purchased it through a local small dealer shortly before Christmas 2007, put it to use immediately and have been well pleased. I find it easy to keep clean both inside and out and all of my family members mention that it seems to cook so evenly. I find it seems to take a long time to indicate that the oven is fully preheated but we just go ahead and start and the food cooks beautifully. Like others have said, it is a little slow to warm but otherwise I have no complaints. It has been a great purchase for our household.
...

jmonwood says "excellent value" about Dell Vostro 1500 Laptop

I have had this laptop for a little over a month and have been very satisfied. I was able to get this on a special sale and frankly, it has specifications I found on other laptops for a much larger price. I find the battery life is exceptionally good. I was a little leary of the Vista operating system since so many people had complaints but I have had no problems whatsoever and I use this laptop for several hours every day for business and personal use....
