jkconsult says "Shoots RAW" about Canon PowerShot A630

This is a sturdy little camera that takes great shots. I particularly like the swing-out view screen - it allows you to take pictures from many different angles and actually see what you're doing. And it also has an optical viewfinder, which is rare for a viewfinder. — The main reason I bought this camera is that, with a hack that you can find online, you can shoot RAW. If you're shooting RAW, you know how important this is - if you're not, go find out about...

jkconsult says "Don't leave home without it" about Blackberry - Curve 8300 Cell Phone

The Blackberry Curve allows me to access my email when I'm away from my office. That's key for me, as a consultant. I also use the calendar and the address book extensively. Have had it for about 6 months with no problems. Some people complain aobout the size of the buttons but I've gotten used to them. The only compaint I have is that I can't search the calendar (am I missing something?). I download to Outlook and search from...

jkconsult says "Best wired headset ever" about Etymotic Research - ETYCOM mobile headset

IF you want a wired headset, this is the one to get. It sits in your ear and, becuase it creates a bit of a vacuum, stays where you put it. The sound quality is excellent on both ends - it's the only wired headset I've used (and I've tried plenty!) that allows me to understand my callers clearly. ...

jkconsult says "Best in-ear headphones ever" about Etymotic - er6 Isolator Earphones

These are my favorite headphones for travel. They're light, completely portable (they come with a case that fits the headphones and my shuffle!) and they sound great. They are noise-cancelling, so I use them on the NY subway and on airplanes and I can moderate the volume so I'm not blasting my ears off. — As far as fit - they create a bit of a vacuum when you put them in correctly, so they stay in my ears and I find them perfectly comfortable. — Highly recommended. I've been using them for about 3...

jkconsult says "great entertainment laptop" about Sony Vaio VGN-sz680

Day 2, and I'm loving this laptop. I would give it a 5 except I'm just not sure about the weight. It's really light without the battery, but it comes with extended battery which is pretty heavy. The screen is crisp and the keyboard has full-sized keys, which is nice for big fingers, though I can't tell if the keyboard is a bit flimsy or just light and well-=constructed....That remains to be seen. — Got a great deal from Sony Direct on the phone - $300 off if you buy 2 accessories, which totalled less than $300. Can't get the deal online though. — And I'm having trouble with the fingerprint reader, which, if it worked, would be much easier than typing in a password! —...
