jhuhtala says "Great deals... if you need what they're selling" about Woot.com

I have tried to share my love for woot with everyone that I meet. Woot's angle is selling a ton of one thing and selling only that thing for 24 hours. This allows them to sell at thin margins to make their profit. We gotten vaccums at $200 off, nice mp3 players for $15 and Christmas presents for well over 50% off. If you want what they're selling, don't even bother looking for a better deal, because you won't find it. And a little hint, if you see a "Bag Of Crap" being sold for $5, buy it! People have gotten big screen TVs in their "bags of crap". ...

jhuhtala says "Possiblt the best site ever" about Amazon.com

I recently found that it might be much easier to ask what can't be found on Amazon. Recently I got an idea that I wanted to buy a mango tree. As I couldn't find one locally, I thought I'd look for one online. I searched and searched.... and searched and still couldn't find one. Then I decided as a long shot to search on amazon, and can you believe that they sell live 4 foot mango trees there? I was blown away. Usually my first stops when looking for a product are Craigslist, amazon and ebay and more often than not, I can only find what I'm looking for on Amazon, and at a great price even. Look for the free-shipping deals or often the deal isn't worth it. 90% of our Christmas shopping is done there and we're budget shoppers! Great site!...

jhuhtala says "Classifieds on steroids" about Craigslist

How did we ever get along without craigslist? My wife and I recently stopped going to amazon first when we need a product, we always look at craigslist first. I have a product that searches the craigslist of multiple cities that has allowed me to find some great deals even away from my hometown. The only problems we have had are some deals that fell-through, including one cute puppy that the owner decided not to sell. Other than that it's been great. Oh, and did I mention that selling things on there is fantastic too?!

Great deals are to be had, get out there!...

jhuhtala says "Great service... depending on where you live" about Netflix

Netflix is truly amazing. It allows our family to watch tons of movies, without having to run around to inconvenient rental stores. For us the service is super fast as the warehouse is only 30 miles away. We have friends and family that live in other areas and instead of a two day turn around, it's more like 4 days. If we lived in one of those areas, we probably wouldn't do it.

On top of it all the selection can't be beat. Two thumbs way up!...

jhuhtala says "Great service, wish the player was better" about Clearplay - CP 007 USB DVD Player

The clearplay service is simply outstanding. It allows my kids to watch movies that they otherwise wouldn't (Superman, Batman, Star Wars 3, even LoTR) and allows my wife and I to watch R rated movies that we otherwise wouldn't. The only problem that we've had is that the player is rather touchy and we've had it freeze a couple times. My mom got one and had to send it back after 2 weeks as it just would not read any disks.

The best part of it is the ability to tell it which things to filter out (nudity, bloodshed, language) and each allows you to set a level at which to filter. When it works, and it usually does, it's great!...
