jgochenour says "Papasan Cradle Swing Rocks!" about Fisher Price Baby Papasan Cradle Swing

The Fisher Price Papasan Cradle Swing is one of the best swings that I have used. I love the fact that it can sit upright or lay back and it was so easy and comfortable for my little girl to sleep in. I love the music and the toys that fly around up above. I just wish it had more music to run through because we used it so much that I memorized all of the songs and they played through my head over and over again. My daughter loved the mirror when she was awake. She just looked at herself and cooed. I do have to complain that it swings a little too hard when you have a very little child. For the first month or so I had to push it on my own because when I turned it on I thought she was swinging way too much! Also, once my child was big enough to reach the toys on the mobile I had to put it away because I was afraid she would break them. Overall I really like this swing. The papasan cradle was my favorite feature and the reason why I purchased this particular swing. I...
...

jgochenour says "Great for babies and sensitive noses!" about All Free and Clear Liquid Detergent

When I was a new mom Dreft was the only recommended detergent to use for washing baby clothes. The problem is that Dreft is extremely expensive and when you have kids you know that you have to be a little more cost conscious about many things. One day I was walking through the store and I saw the All Free and Clear Liquid Detergent. I thought that I would give it a try and I am so glad that I did. It worked great getting the baby's clothes clean. I ran out of my other laundry detergent one day and decided to give it a try on all of the family's clothes. To my surprise I actually liked it better than the Tide that I was using. I have a very sensitive nose and don't like a lot of perfume or fragrances. This was the perfect solution for me. I don't have to smell the detergent on my clothes all day long now and there are no added colors or anything added which makes me feel good about my decision. The best part is that it is about half the price of my regular detergent and less than......

jgochenour says "Amazing results from this Butt Paste!" about Boudreaux's Butt Paste Diaper Rash Cream

I have to admit that I laughed when I was given Boudreaux's Butt Paste for a baby shower present. What kind of name is butt paste? But it came from a trusted parent that swore by it and told me that it was the only thing to use on diaper rash, so I gave it a good try. Soon after my little girl was born we encountered our first minor diaper rash. I tried the butt paste and it went away by the next diaper changing...I was impressed. We gave it a much better work out when my little girl started teething. Everytime she was teething she had a horrible case of diarrea. As any parent knows this can be very hard on the bottom and so I used this butt paste heavily. There were a few days at daycare that they didn't use the butt paste as I had requested and my daughter came home with major diaper rash. I went right to the butt paste and slathered it on. It took a day and the diaper rash was gone. I was really impressed by this point. I have added the Boudreaux's Butt Paste as an essential......

jgochenour says "No leaking with the swaddlers" about Pampers Swaddlers

When I was pregnant with my first child I was so overwhelmed by all of the choices that were out there for everything including diapers. I wanted to make sure that I had given each brand a shot and purchased Pampers, Huggies, Luvs and a couple generic brands of diapers. I noticed right off the bat that the generic diapers were very rough. I ruled these out completely because I wasn't going to put my newborn in a diaper that might be uncomfortable (I certainly wouldn't want to be in it 24 hours a day!). I gave an equal shot to the Pampers, Huggies and Luvs. The Huggies and Luvs didn't seem to have as much elastic and didn't allow for the squirming that a typical baby does. They just looked very restrictive. My daughter was also born with what they called a "dimple" on her rear that made it very easy for her to have blow-outs in her diapers. I found that the swaddlers were the only diaper that I felt would reduce these blow-outs. They really kept all the contents inside and this......

jgochenour says "The Evenflo Triumph is the way to go" about Evenflo Triumph DLX Convertible Car Seat

I love my Evenflo Triumph Deluxe car seat that we purchased for my one year old daughter. We were ready to get her out of her infant carrier and we had probably 4 other parents recommend the Triumph to us. The safety ratings were great on this model and compared to most of the other car seats out at the time it actually had some padding so my daughter wouldn't be sitting on a big plastic or styrofoam seat. It has a great feature for tightening the straps. I don't have to worry about trying to pull the strap between her legs to try to get it as tight as can be as in most car seats. This seat has a great turn knob on the side that makes it super easy to make sure the straps are tight enough. Plus the knob is on both sides so it doesn't matter which side I put her in on, the knob is always right there and easy to get to. My only complaint about this knob is the release feature. It seems as if sometimes it gets stuck a bit and is difficult to press to release. I have figured out how......

jgochenour says "In love with my 2008 Nissan Altima" about 2008 Nissan Altima Sedan

I absolutely love my 2008 Nissan Altima. I had owned a 2003, 2.5 sedan with all the extras (no leather) before, but made an awful decision to trade it in to save a bit of money on monthly car payments. Ever since that decision I had been counting the days for my lease to be over so I could purchase another Altima. Finally in January of 2008 I was able to turn in my leased vehicle (Chrysler Pacifica, which I will not recommend for many reasons including the 15mpg fuel economy). I looked at all of my options again for a 4-door sedan. My first test drive was of course the 2008 Altima. It was the best looking car on the market. I was coming from a Chrysler Pacifica, so I wanted something that was sporty enough and didn't make me feel like too much of a soccer mom!
It has enough pep that the 4-cylinder is really all I need. Compared especially to the Honda Accord 4-cylinder, it has a ton more get-up-and-go. It had the benefit of the new technology such as the push button start (which......

jgochenour says "Johnson & Johnson's Head-to-Toe Baby Wash is the only one to use" about Johnson & Johnson Head-to-Toe Baby Wash

The Johnson & Johnson's Head-to-Toe Baby Wash is the only brand of baby wash that I will use. I love the fact that I can use it as an all-in-one cleaner and I don't have to worry about having another bottle for shampoo or body wash. It is simple to have one bottle that works for everything. It doesn't have an overpowering smell which is really important to me because I didn't want to put unecessary fragrances on my baby. It cleans very well and washes off very easily. I've never had a problem with it drying out my baby's skin. It isn't overly expensive. I had received one bottle for my baby shower and it lasted almost a whole year, so you don't have to use a ton of it for it to be effective. There are many other brands on the market that promote the tear-free wash, but this is the only one I trust for any baby under a year old. It also helped that this was the wash that the hospital used for my baby's first bath. I am pregnant again and will be purchasing this again for my new......
