It has a few problems but this is outweighed by its positive attributes.</p><p>When we program the coffee maker to come on in the morning, we have sometimes found coffee all other the counter and floor. It seems if the carafe is not exactly right in the coffee maker it will run out the filter and not all the coffee will make it into the carafe.</p><p>We have also found that sometimes the coffee grounds get into the pot. We use the permanent filter, so the paper filter folding over is not the issue. We can't figure out why this happens occasionally.</p><p>In addition, the grinder is pretty loud so if you have sleeping children close to the kitchen, you may want to use ground coffee instead of whole bean.</p><p>Now for the positive attributes. First, this machine makes great coffee.Whole or ground, the coffee is always top notch. Second, we drink <strong><em>a lot </em></strong>of coffee, so it can handle several times a day use.Since we use it so much, we have to clean it a lot and it has held up well.</p><p>This...</p>...
