jewel312b says "ShamWow's, I don't know what all the hype is about" about Sham Wow

I wanted Sham Wow ever since I saw that guy do the commercial. My friend got them for me for my birthday. I was SO excited. Then I used one. It did soak up the water that was overflowing from my coffee maker, however, it did smear it around too. One pass certainly was not enough for about a cup of water. But I was able to ring the towel almost completely dry and reuse it for the next spill. No dripping towels on the sink, that was probably the best feature of the Sham Wow! I cleaned up one more spill, milk from an overturned cereal bowl, and decided it was time to wash it. I put it in the laundry, just as I was instructed. Launder normally. When the ShamWow was done, I hung it up to let it dry. DO NOT put them in the automatic dryers (that was the warning on the box). The towel never quite worked well after that. I know have to swipe the area about five times to totally get the mess up. As a side note, one of my ShamWow's did make itself into the dryer and now it has become a...
...

jewel312b says "Hamilton Beach hand blender has been a life saver" about Hamilton Beach 2-Speed Hand Blender w/case

The Hamilton Beach hand blender with case is great. It comes with three attachments including the drink attachment, whisk attachment, and the blade attachment. When my daughter was drinking powdered formula, I used this EVERY day. I would measure out large quantities of formula and blend for a smooth, non-clumpy bottle. I had tried several others but this was the best by far. The case made clean up and storage very convenient. I never had to hunt down the proper parts, they were all organized in the case. When mixing a liquidy substance, there was no back spray, which was great. I also liked the chart that was included with the owners manual. I taped it to the inside of the case for quick reference. It included blending times and attachments you should use dependant on what you were mixing. The mixer and attachments were fairly easy to clean if you do it right away. I was a little turned off by the fact that it tells you not to chop ice, but ya can't have everything I guess? Would...
...

jewel312b says "Uniden multi handset cordless phone was a disappointment" about Uniden - DXA15688 Series

The Uniden multi-handset cordless telephone was a big disappointment. It was recently rated in Consumer Reports as the best phone out there. But my experience was the exact opposite. We purchased two sets in order to be sure there is always a phone within reach. Each set comes with two phones, one answering machine base, and one base that simply acts as a charger. The phone has many features such as 5.8GHz extended range, call transfer between handsets, digital tapeless recording for the answering machine, and conversation recording. The problem I had with this phone is the reception. In the owners manual for the phone, it does state that you should avoid: microwaves, moisture, dust, low temps, mechanical vibration, shock, windows with street traffic, televisions, electronic equipment, and fluorescent lighting. I had searched and searched for a place in my home that fit such a requirement. Finally, I found two and hooked the phones up. But the reception is HORRIBLE once you walk...
...

jewel312b says "GE single burner is not recommended" about General Electric Single burner model #169163

The GE Single Electric Burner is not a good buy. I purchased this in order to have a place to cook on at our in-laws camper. It is a plug in burner that has a dial from low to high. There is an indicator light showing the burner is on. Also a cord storage compartment and anti-slip legs. I thought I was buying a safe product from a reputable company so I would have little or no problems with the product. Well our first "dinner" proved me wrong. My mother-in-law asked for help with dinner and it was my job to cook the noodles. So I plugged in my trusty burner and put the water, butter, and milk in the pot to boil. Well to spare you the details, the pot never boiled. We waited three hours with burner turned on high....and nothing. The burner only got warm and curdled the milk. I called the company to complain and they told me to return it to the store, but the store would not take back the used product. I am now stuck with a warming plate that is essentially a drain on electric...
...

jewel312b says "Dora Cell Phone says your name and many phrases" about Dora the Explorer Dora Cell Phone Knows Your Name

The Dora the Explorer Dora Cell Phone Knows Your Name is a wonderful product. My daughter is two and received one for her birthday. She plays with it everyday. The phone has a USB port in the bottom that you hook to your computer. The easy to follow instructions with pictures makes it easy to program your phone. There are literally tens of thousands of names. You can even try out different spelling and accents so your phone REALLY says your child's name in the way that you intended. I enjoyed listening to all the names available. Fisher price makes the phone so it is definately durable and will withstand being dropped, kicked and played with. It wipes clean easily. The phone has several phrases and has five ringtones. The numbers, when pushed, press at once. For example, press one and the phone says 123; press 4 and it says 456. Perhaps my favorite feature of the phone is the automatic shut off. If the phone is idle for 15 seconds it will shut off. Lastly, the phone...
...

jewel312b says "parents choice formula is a great low cost alternative for baby" about Parent's Choice Sensitivity

Parent's Choice Sensitive Formula is a great alternative to the pricey formula that is pushed by WIC programs. My daughter was on the Similac and Enfamil brands of the same formula. Those brands both lacked something in comparison to the Wal Mart brand Parents Choice formula. Being a mom of four I was willing to experiement more with my last daughter. I think this is the main reason more people do not want to use this formula. It is actually nutritionally better compared to the other leading brands. Sugar content especially is different. I was able to transition my daughter successfully from one to the other. I was saving about 10 dollars a can, that was 80 dollars a month, or more. The things that really turned me on to this formula, besides the price, were numerous. First, the consistancy of the finished bottle was smoother. It did not have any clumps of formula and was smooth. I do not like sticky formula. Secondly, I was able to make larger quantities without...
...

jewel312b says "The Black and Decker Coffeemaker is durable and dependable." about Black & Decker DLX1050B 12-cup programmable Coffeemaker

I love this coffee pot. I have had several coffee pots and this one, by far, out shines the others. I have experienced that when pouring a cup of coffee from ANY of the other coffee pots I have tried in the past, I spill it on the counter. This coffee pot is "spill-proof". I can get up in the morning and make a pot of coffee quickly and within five minutes all 12 cups are finished brewing. Also great for company. I can brew pot after pot without changing the consistance of the flavor. I also think the 2-hour shut off feature is essential for my household. That way if you get distracted you don't have to worry about your coffee pot staying on and burning your coffee, or worse, breaking the pot. The two hour feature also ensures that each and every cup you drink is fresh, never older than two hours. The automatic brew feature allows me to set the coffee pot up the night before, and at the scheduled time, the coffee starts brewing. AWESOME! No more tired mornings trying...
...
