jessicajewel81 says "Its Starbizzle!!!!!!" about Starbucks - Arundel Preserve

The Starbucks motto, true at Arundel Preserve:

"We always figured that putting people before products just made good common sense. So far, it's been working out for us. Our relationships with farmers yield the highest-quality coffees. The connections we make in communities create a loyal following. And the support we provide our baristas pays off everyday."

I would like to share my praise for my local Starbucks in Hanover, Maryland, at Arundel Preserve. (7698 Dorchester Blvd. Suite 207 Hanover, Maryland 21076 [410 799-4126]).

Every time that I go in, they are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They do not even have to ask me what I want anymore, they know. I am always greeted with a welcoming "hello, your usual?" I have recognized this same sort of attentiveness with other customers as well. Don't get me wrong though, when I am in the mood for something new, they are always really helpful at recommending new drinks I may enjoy.

My husband was in Iraq last summer when the store opened....
...

The staff was very friendly. They opened up about 10 minutes early, and my pet was promptly ready for pickup, as promised. I had my puppy, Gracie spayed. Since Gracie is a female, they knew that the surgery was more extensive, and they prescribed her pain medication. The Baltimore County Humane Society exceeded my expectations in the care that was provided to my pet.
...

jessicajewel81 says "I encourage you to have a great day with Making Homes Affordable" about Making Homes Affordable

I am very disheartened. In March, the government introduced a program called Making Homes Affordable. Under this program, homeowners would be able to refinance their homes to get a better interest rate and a more stable loan. Everything that I have read about this program says that it benefits people who are doing the right thing, making their payments, and just do not have any equity in their homes. It sounds great, right? I say NO!!!

My husband and I are in a situation, probably a lot like many other homeowners. My husband was in the military, and got stationed in an area that was part of the booming real estate market. In the height of the market, we bought a house that we could afford, even though we were approved for more, and we did 100% financing. This left us with 2 liens, under the 80/20 program. We were not eligible to use our VA loan, because our loan amount exceeded the cap for VA loans.

So what is an 80/20? Basically, you will hold 2 liens on your home: one that...
...

jessicajewel81 says "Any animal lover would be highly upset after hearing this!!!!!!!" about Noah's Ark Veterinary Services - - Millersville, MD

My husband and I moved to Maryland about 3 years ago. Since then, we have been using the kennel at Noah's Ark for our golden retriever, Tanner. Recently, my husband and I adopted a rescue pup, Gracie. Around that same time, Noah's ark began offering veterinary services. We decided to change vets and use Noah's Ark. We loved the idea of the convenience. The dogs would go to the vet at the same place that they are kenneled and groomed.

The first thing we noticed about veterinary services in Maryland is that they were way more expensive than they were where we used to live. So, when we brought Gracie to Noah's Ark, we only assumed the high prices were standard in Maryland. After comparing prices with some of our friends (and spending $150 a month since October '08) we have realized that Noah's Ark is extremely expensive as far as veterinary services are concerned. We were dealing with the steep prices though, since our dogs love the staff there, we kennel and groom them there, and...
...
