jeschainks says "I enjoyed my time with CTU, but it is not well known..." about Colorado Technical University - Associate Degree in Accounting

I have attended both CTU and University of Phoenix. I enjoyed my time with CTU because the instructors and the staff were very supportive and helpful. Additionally, the online chats were very informative and helped to add flavor to the course - as well as additional information. The courses were less expensive; however, the interaction between students was much less and didn't encourage learning from each other as much as the courses with UoPhx.

Overall, CTU is a wonderful online college.
...

jeschainks says "Fast paced, good material, very expensive..." about University of Phoenix - Online Campus

I have been to UoPhx and to CTU (Colorado Technical University). The format at UoPhx is better because it encourages interaction between the students and helps to answer questions - which is especially important in the first year or two of classes. It is expensive, even if you would have full funding with another college you won't with the UoPhx.

Overall, it is a solid education which will build on previous classes - even on the Master's level. They use work related scenarios and encourage critical thinking. Interaction enables everyone to share their views. Team work is a requirement which is often difficult in the BS/BA levels, but tends to work great at the Master's level.

If you can afford it, it has a more recognized name, and easily a great education.
...

jeschainks says "HP is a nice laptop, does all the simple things..." about Hewlett Packard HP Pavilion DV9000

I bought my HP laptop more than a year ago, it has been everywhere - to my last job, to Panera during to breaks, around my house. I have used it for business, jobs, movies, music, and online gaming. My biggest problem is that anymore it gets very hot when I doing anything that uses the video card and it needs more memory. Also, when it starts getting too warm the sound starts beeping and clicking.

Overall, it is the best laptop we have had in the house, and we have had three and currently have 5 desktops running. I just don't recommend it for gaming or anything heavy with video.
...
