jerseymommy says "Excellent baby food that doesn't smell like baby food" about Earth's Best Organic Baby Food

The supermarket shelves are filled with baby food that looks and smells so gross that I wouldn't want to taste it myself, much less feed it to my baby.

Earth's Best is just the opposite. The food looks and smells delicious. The fact that it is organic is an added bonus for me! My kids would eat the Gerber or Beech-Nut baby food without a problem, but they would enthusiastically devour the Earth's Best baby food. Even when they graduated to table food, I would still use the Earth's Best baby food fruits as a healthy way to mix flavor into plain yogurt.

There two major con's for Earth's Best baby food. First, it was more expensive than either Gerber or Beech-Nut. The company is really good about sending out coupons, so all you have to do is give them a call and they will send you lots of coupons. Combine the coupons and stock up when they're on sale, and Earth's Best can come to almost the same price as Beech-Nut or Gerber. The other downside is that my local supermarkets...
...

jerseymommy says "Safe and durable" about BornFree Glass Baby Bottle

I had Avent plastic bottles when my daughter was born in 2005. Unfortunately, like all bottles back then, it contained BPA.

When my son was born in 2007 (JUST as the BPA warnings started coming out), we decided to switch to a BPA-free bottle. I was afraid to get a BPA-free plastic bottle because I was afraid of other chemicals that they may discover are dangerous.

We went with the Born Free glass bottles because they were durable and we trusted the brand. I am thrilled with our choice. Glass bottles are much heavier than the same size plastic bottles, so we bought the 5 oz bottles instead of the 9-oz bottles. The glass was extremely durable; it even survived several drops on the hard floor. The nipple did a great job at preventing leaks. My son never had gas or any spitup problems when we used these bottles. Plus, most importantly, I know that I don't have to worry about any chemical safety issues with my son's glass bottles.

The glass bottles were a little bit more...
...

jerseymommy says "The safest and most comfortable carseat. Worth every penny!" about Britax Roundabout

I bought my Britax Roundabout back in 2005. It was the top rated carseat in "Consumer Reports" and I completely agree. The carseat itself is extremely well-padded. My kids never complain about being uncomfortable. The fabric itself is very durable -- it looks the same now as it did 4 years (and 2 kids) ago!

But more importantly, the police officer who installed it for me told me that this is the only carseat he will let his kids ride in. There is an extra strap in the back which gives the Britax carseats an extra level of security. That strap can also make it a pain in the neck to move from car-to-car, so I suggest that you pick which car you want to have the Britax installed into and then just leave it.

The 5-point harness sometimes gets twisted, but it's relatively easy to fix.

The Britax carseats are definitely not the cheapest ones in the market, but who wants to penny-pinch when it comes to such a clear difference in safety.
...
