jeremyswife1995 says "Made for miles, but not marathons!" about Proform Treadmills

I am a firm believer in walking at least an hour a day (OK- less if I absolutely don't have time, but the incline is UP for the whole walk then!) My Proform worked wonderful for the first few months, but then I noticed an issue with the motor suddenly switching from smooth to sluggish and jerking back and forth from there to fast and slow again. If I kept the speed down- at around 4 mph- then it would usually come out of it, but if I tried to speed up past that, it would start again. Then this past winter my power incline just gave out! It would drop me instead of lifting as it usually did. Granted I weigh 150 lbs, but that shouldn't be a strain for this machine! One time I raised it before getting on the treadmill and it "overextended" and then wouldn't come back down. Thankfully my husband is very gifted in the repair department and was able to fix the problem- in fact he made it better than the original since he put a stop on it that prevents it from being able to "overextend". ......
