jennifermardin says "Works as well as most prescription pain meds for migrains" about Excedrin Migraine Caplets 100 Ct.

I will admit that before trying this over the counter remedy, I tried all the prescription options first these include; fioricet, fiorinol, stadol ns, etc etc. Granted the prescription medications worked however there is a high risk for abuse because they are very addictive, narcotics and barbituates. When I began to start feeling healthier, due to taking Cymbalta (a depression medication that also helps everyday fatigue aches and pains and migraines) I decided to also attempt to stop taking all of these highly addictive drugs and go for something that was over the counter. Not thinking anything would work I chatted with a girlfriend who I knew had the same type of migraines and asked her what she used if she didn't have access to her perscriptions. She told me about Excedrin Migraine, and I tried it. Wow was I shocked at how well it worked! Now all that I need is a small bottle of Excedrin Migraine in my purse and I never have to worry about a 3 day migraine again. Yes,...
...

The women of my family have suffered from depression for many generations, so I was not surprised when my family doctor was concerned about my mood, and began talking to me about a prescription anti depressant. I was more open to the idea of taking a prescription because I know many perfectly healthy wonderful women that have had to take something to help them get through a rough patch, then be able to not have to continue the medication forever. So although highly skeptical I began taking the medication at the 30mg dose for a few weeks. Wow what a difference it made in my day to day activities! I had not realized how many aches and pains that I was having that was affecting my everyday life. One of the worst were dibilating migraine headaches. However after just a few weeks, I began to feel much much better. All of those little aches and pains, the fatigue and lack of interest in anything EXCEPT sleeping all began to disappear, as well as my HORRIBLE migraines! I went from...
...

I purchased this system for my elderly grandmother (69 years old). Granted she is not the typical senior citizen, she has two laptops, a desktop, and her home networked with wireless. Also please note that she didn't do any of this on her own, but instead let me take the lead and hook her up with the new technology. However, after a few years she has the hang of it, and uses her laptops daily, prints things out, reasearches things online, and can install and uninstall software on her own computers. She also plays video games regularly (she LOVES the SIMS!) Now I tell you all of this so that you can understand her fluidity with technology. When I purchased this for her, I was hoping directly from the box that she would be able to begin using it. However, instead I had to sync it to her laptop, install the software, get the updates, and attempt to install her home address. Granted the system does come with maps of North America however they are not updated. If you want the...
...

jennifermardin says "Nice, but not all its cracked up to" about wii - Wii video game system

I was very excited when I heard about the new wii from Nintendo. Being a bit frugal I did not run right out and buy one first thing. Instead I waited a few years until I got a deal on an entire package, that also included the wii fit balanace board, the wii gaming system, and many games, the dance pad, the accessories, the charging station, etc, etc. When I received it I was VERY excited and nearly felt like a little kid again. I had originally played the Nintendo NES System, (I am 32) and really loved it. Now being an adult however, I don't have as much time to attempt to master a game and sit infront a console for days at at time (nor do I WANT TO!). I was looking for a gaming system that was easy to operate and fun (ie parties, etc etc). Well the system is easy to operate. However many of the games do still take awhile to get used to and master. I want to feel like I am good at the game in the beginning than just get better. If however, you feel like you suck anyway,...
...

I purchased this product at Walmart, and only chose to switch my prefered brand (a salon expensive shampoo/conditioner) because I was going on Vacation and didn't want to bring along my much larger bottle of expensive shampoo. In case it broke open, or my luggage was lost. To my surprise this shampoo (and matching conditioner) worked exactly like it said it would. Something that you are not used to finding when it comes to most value conscious products. It smelled amazing, and my hair had body, but was still soft. It didn't look like someone had fried it. That is typically what you get when you want to have a product for shampoo that gives you body. My hair was used to only the finest salon quality products (I had been talked into them by a WAY too expensive hair dresser!) and to be honest I wasn't really super happy with how it worked, however figured that there wasn't going to be anything any better. Then I tried this inexpensive product and loved the body, shine, and...
...

Hi, after purchasing the original Wii for nearly $250 easy, I decided to to purchase their additional nintendo wii fit. The wii fit can cost anywhere between $90-150. I need to mention that my two of my three current passions are: exercising, video games, and education (I am a lifelong student). I do a circut workout at least three times a week if not more. I was hoping that this videogame would help incorporate two of my three loves. I found that being very tech savvy, that I found it difficult to turn off my television in order to exercise. While the little guys that help you work through the workouts are adorable, they do need to make it a bit easier. I am supposidly quite fit and found it, to say the least, challenging. While I do love the option, I am finding it difficult to incorporate into my life. I am very fortunate to have gym membership and workout their. I do not enjoy attempting to exercise at home, it is my sanctuary. When I get home I enjoy sitting down...
...

jennifermardin says "Works well, but not the best" about Dish network

Okay, this product "Dish Network" isn't the worst satelite provider. However, it is also NOT the best. I had used this product for over 8 years, and while it did provide me with my satelite telivison requirements, it did not do anything above average to help. I also need to mention that I had many problems with service outages in my area. I live in rural new hampshire. I expected the signal to be lost while it was raining heavily, but the signal was also lost due to high winds, and I DO NOT live on a mountain, and also from heavy snow. I am not speaking about the large amount of snow built up on the receiver, but also due to heavy snow flakes. I continually had a check switch problem that drove both me and my husband crazy. Every time the signal would be lost and we lost reception, due to a "check switch" problem, I had to call a technician to come out, each time that cost me on average $30, when that happens 6 times a year, it becomes expensive. Every technician would...
...

Love it! Used many different devices before I came to this option. There are so many wonderful things about both this company and their service. I came to find them out of desperation from my previous satelite service. Their HD DVR service is the best that I have found. Not only can record two different series at the SAME time, but also their HD is amazing and not that expensive. I have found that there line up and selection is much better than almost any other product available. My selection and ability to not only record but also watch my television shows on my schedule, is priceless! I am an incredibly busy college student, wife, and mother, plus full time worker. There is little to no time available in my extremly busy life for another passion of mine, television. With this service I am able to attempt to find balance in my life, personal, professional, and educational. It is the most important thing in my life currently. Finding balance has been easier with Directv....
...

I was very excited when I saw the advertisement on televison. I have used Vonage for years and had many expectations for this product. I purchased this product for my very value conscious grandmother. She is on a limited income and I try to help her save every penny she comes across. When we received it, I thought that it would be as simple and as easy to use as vonage, however, it wasn't. First of all they neglected to mention that if you happen to live in New Hampshire you can not get a local telephone number, then even if you don't mind that, and you have either a massachussetts or vermont number, it did not work very well at all. Although we could hear other people, they couldn't hear us at all. If this product has worked for others, I think that it would be awesome! However, since I had such a negative experience I DO NOT recommend it to others! If and when it does work for people in New Hampshire I will absolutly try it again.
...

I absolutly love vonage phone service. I can not say enough good things about them. I purchased this suspecting that it would not work as well as advertised or that they would eventually keep putting the price up until it was virtually the same as the phone company. I would like to admit that I am probably above average when it comes to being familiar with computers. I've never met one that I couldn't run blissfully well within 30 minutes. When the package came, I simply hooked it up, and it worked. Nothing complicated or hard to understand. I have never had a problem with it. I was so thrilled with the service that I also had my grandmother hooked up with it, she also has never had a problem with hers. I need to mention that if the power goes out, so does your phone service. You also require an active broadband connection. I think however, that it is the best and only way to have the internet.
...

I was really hoping because this was a curves brand that it would be very nutrious. I try to follow a low glycemic diet, which is basically just low sugar foods. This product contained too much sugar for my daily intake and also was high in bad carbs. I do want to mention that I absolutly adore the Curves workout and their gym. That is whay I thought that I would enjoy thier food as well. I have found that the only good way to help maintain a healthy diet is through nutrtion education. Yes it can seem daunting and intimidating at first but after awhile you really get a hang for it. Educating yourself on food, in the long run is the best way to be able to maintain your weight, and eat a healthy diet. Another option is the South Beach Diet bars, they have their sugar as sugar alcohol, and your body can not absorb that, so it goes right through you, and not to your hips. Always a plus!
...

I have always been allergic to bug bites, and have tried everything from garlic pills, to potassium in my diet to try to get the damn little bugs to not be so fond of my blood, but to no avail. For some reason bugs just love to nibble on me, in the hundreds. I am always that one person at the party with over 20 bug bites and everyone else is fine and don't know what I am complaining about. So I've gotten used to over the years using every bug spray I could get my hands on. I personally prefer something with 100% DEET and am not allergic (obviously). However, I always hated the scent of the sprays and the greasy oily feelings that always accompained using them. During last summer I saw the advertisements and finally decided to try it, plus my regular Deep Woods Off was out. Well after just one use I was amazed with its effect. It worked amazingly and I didn't feel like I was wearing grease all over my skin, shinny and slippery and oily. It was smooth and dry, and had......

I tried weight watchers, unsucessfully for over two months. I found it to be an OK price, per meeting fees, weekly weigh ins, and rather expensive food and books available. The thing that really didn't work for me was the fact that it was all about food. Food food food 24-7, it made feel obsessed with it. I constantly had to keep track of everything I was eating writing it down, and figuring out how many points it was. I had to drag a book, calculator, and other material around with me everyday. I did lose 10 pounds, but was just way overthinking eating. I decided to try something different and joined a gym, Curves, a circut training approach, and then after a few months of exercising I decided to try to change my eating habits, and with their easy approach of glycemic index eating, I never crave the bad foods, and find it so much easier. Eating now is a no brainer, and I do not need to drag anything around with me daily to keep track of everything. I do plan ahead and......
