jenlovestoreview says "I can ONLY drink SO much soda!" about My Coke Rewards

I have to admit getting free stuff is cool.

-But 45 points (about 15 2 liters of soda) = one free movie rental at Blockbuster.

It takes WAYYYYY to long to accumulate points (with my mom drinking it ALLLLL day long, killing her kidneys probably and getting coke tops from friends) to get one free movie a month...

Its really not worth the time, saving them, and then entering them.

Pepsi tops are not worth it anymore either. They used to be in the 90's.

...

jenlovestoreview says "Medical Student Realizes He is Dissecting Dead Girlfriend!" about Vital

I think this movie is excellent, even though I do not really watch HORROR types of movies. (except for vampire movies, which is sort of random). The plot is excellent, the sets are fantastic and the editing superb!

A young man who is a medical student wakes up in the hospital. His father tells him he had a very bad car accident. He moves into a dingy student type apartment and takes a dissecting course. I was really intrigued and bothered by the fact that the med school was so dingy and disgusting. The walls were off white, looked very dirty, and seemed like it was not really a real medical school. I am not sure if this is done to heighten the effect of the creepiness of the subject or if medical schools in Asia really are like this, because of financial problems...

During medical school he discovers the one he is working on is his dead lover. Then you find out she died in the car that he caused the accident in.

The rest of the movie is very interesting. I did enjoy it, but the...
...

jenlovestoreview says "Young South African Thug ACCIDENTLY Kidnaps a Baby!" about Tsotsi

I will watch almost anything that has good reviews. I love learning about other cultures and people. This movie DID NOT dissapoint!

Tsotsi is a young man of 17-23 who lives in the shanty towns of South Africa. He runs with a group of boys and is the leader of their "gang". You find out later in the film that his name is a chosen one meaning "THUG" (probably in the zulu language)... He and the three other young men rob people for money.

A very disturbing scene in the beginning happens on mass transit like the trains in NYC or San Francisco's Bay Area trains (BART). They spot a good mark when the well dressed man buys a trinket in the train shopping areas, and they see him pull out his envolope of money and they see where he puts it back. On the train the job takes a violent turn.

Tsotsi is very disturbed by the events of the night, some which had happened after the train job. He ran to let of steam and ends up in a very well off surburban neighborhood. When a woman drives up to a gated...
...

jenlovestoreview says "Man imprisioned for 15 years revenges his jailor." about Oldboy

This movie is edgy, has a great soundtrack and is very interesting to watch.

Many movies I watch while playing games on the Internet because the plot is very slow, but this movie I intently watched the whole way through!

A man gets kidnapped by someone and then is forced to live in a sort of prison for 15 years. You never see who has done this to him, but occasionally a person will come into his "cell" after gassing him so he is unconscious. He starts to do all sort of odd things to pass the time, tattooing himself a mark for each year he is in there, starting up a sort of training program to get himself in shape by beating on the wall where he has drawn a picture of a human form, digging at the bricks in his wall to tunnel through to the other side of a 40+ story building.

He is suddenly released from his captivity with only some clothes and a pair of sunglasses. Later he is given a wallet and a cell phone.

The plot twists and turns and the ending is VERY unexpected and fantastic!

I really...
...

jenlovestoreview says "Woman Posing as a French Citizen Helps the Resistance-WWII " about Charlotte Gray

Charlotte Gray is a movie about a Scottish woman living in England during WWII. She meets and falls in love with a very handsome English pilot. When he is sent over to France and does not come back she decides to go search for him. She joins a movement to pose as a French Citizen and help the Resistance. She speaks fluent french and undergoes rigorous training before being dropped into France by airplane.

She and another person are dropped in the dark of night into the French countryside. Members of the Resistance meet with them and tell them their missions.

While living in France under a new name and identity she lives with one of the Resistance's family members and 2 small boys.

The movie is really set in a part of France that WAS occupied by the germans. The village and its surrounding countryside is very beautiful. Many of the extras are played by French people who actually live in the village.

A woman who is very courageous and risks her life many times for others.

This movie is...
...

jenlovestoreview says "Fantastic dialogue, plot, setting and costumes!!!" about Serenity

I get any thing that is reccommended to me as a decent movie.

I was SURPRISED in a very HAPPY way!!!

I fell in love with the characters, and was very sad when the movie was over. At the end of viewing the movie I watched ALL the special effects and saw the commentary by the movie's director. Apparently this movie had been based on a TV show that ran for only one season: Firefly.. I promptly got on the computer and found the tv episodes and put them in my queue so I could watch them! I just watched disk 1 and 2 and have disk 3 ready to go!

Since I had not watched the tv show, the dialogue was a bit confusing. They were using slang that seemed to be OLD WEST in quality. I also noticed they didn't swear, but actually they do, it's just sort of disguised as words like "gorram"... Finally I picked up WHILE WATCHING the movie that it was a western science fiction about 500 years in the future.

The characters are endearing, the plot very interesting and well written. The dialogue and costumes were...
...
