jdiegjdieg says "Saves energy, and not as hot either" about GE Soft White Spiral T3 16254

I have been replacing all of our bulbs with these. At first, it was a little expensive so I only did the ones we use often, but lately at my local Walmart, they are very affordable.
I only have about 2 old bulbs left in my house.
I bought a little meter that I hooked up in the cellar to just my lighting circuits, and I have noticed savings already. (Of course we don't use out lights the same every day, but it's enough savings to know that it's real)
They don't burn nearly as hot either. (Although you still don't want to touch them)
A great way to save money AND the environment!...

jdiegjdieg says "Great graphics and very entertaining" about Finding Nemo

Thsi movie is very funny and entertaining to both adults and kids.
There are a couple of parts that could scare a kid a little bit (fish gets lost, mean sharks), but those are minor, and greatly outweighed by the entire experience.
The characters were awesome and so was the "connection" between the sea world and ours - they called the jet stream "highways", etc.
This is a very good movie and EVERYONE should see it at least once!...

jdiegjdieg says "Don't bother - XP does it all - even Linux is better" about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition Full Version OEM for PC

I've helped 4 friends who have bought computers with Vista preinstalled. 3 of them decided they were better off going out and PAYING for XP, or trying their luch with Linux.
The other 2 only turn the computer on to get on the internet.
This is Microsoft's worse release of ANYTHING yet. (With the exception maybe of Microsoft BOB in the 80's).
It is very slow, and randomly pops things up in the middle of your work. The security makes you think you're on the Pentagon's main system. It won't let you do anything to YOUR OWN computer.
Even on the brand newest computers (the 5 I mentioned). They aren't the fastest and most expensive computer these people could buy, but they are good ones, and Vista chokes all of the time.
Wait for the next Windows. I think it's coming out next year. It will take you more than a year to get Vista to work right anyway.
...

jdiegjdieg says "Awesome phone - and I threw away my MP3 player" about Samsung - SCH-u740 Cell Phone

I've had this phone for a year now, and I couldn't be happier. I always thought text messaging back and forth to the kids was insane with number keys, so I got this one with the keyboard. Now even an old guy can TEXT.
So after I got it I bought a 2GB memory card online for $15.00. Now I have a ton of music on it, and I even put some cartoon movies on it for my 2 year old to watch in the car or while we're waiting at a restaurant.
Over the years, I bet I have had 8 cellphones, and this is by far the biggest leap in cell phone technology. Not only that, but the price has fallen dramatically since I got it....

jdiegjdieg says "Great Service - They take care of it all" about Geico

We have been using Geico for 5 years now. In that time, there have been 2 minor accidents.
In both cases, we called the 800 number from the road, and were told by the representative that everything would be taken care of, and we didn't need to do anything more unless they called.
Bot incidents were resolved immediately, and their web site is so easy to use that I could log in an find out the status at any time.
Paying online is super easy, too.
Of course the reason we switched from our old insurer was the price, and that's still as good as it was then....
