      <description>This company and their natural line of foods are awesome!&#160; This is the only food I will buy for my Shih Tzu/Maltese mix.&#160; I tried some other more expensive brands and found out the hard way that they use corn and wheat as fillers in their products, which some dogs are allergic to.... </description>

      <description>&lt;p&gt;I recently tried switching my shih tzu/maltese mix&#160;over to this food because it sounded like it would be better for him than the Nutro Natural Choice&#160;I was currently buying.&#160; Wrong!&#160; This food is labeled as being good for shih tzu's because they have sensitive stomachs and require special diets.&#160; Within a week and a half of eating this food my dog developed yeast and bacterial infections in both ears costing me a $100 at the veterinarian's office.&#160; The vet said yeast infections are caused by food or environmental allergies.&#160; Since my dog has never displayed environment allergies they concluded that the new food caused the infections.&#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;I immediately switched him back to Nutro Naturals.&#160; I spoke with one of the reps from Nutro and was told that Royal Canin uses corn and wheat as fillers in their foods, which most shih tzu's are allergic to.&#160; &lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;Royal Canin rips people off touting their claims of using superior ingredients in their products, when in fact they don't, and they charge...&lt;/p&gt;... </description>
