jaybcee says "Customer Service Division is not true to their word." about Washington Mutual

On Feb 20th, @ 9:45 am, I called WAMu's customer service toll free number to find out the amount of my principal balance from the fiasco that one of WAMu's local branch has done to my account (Check my other review - WAMu's local branch in National City, CA).

After 30 minutes on hold (that they have a high volume of calls that day - so when is it not high?) someone finally answered the phone. A female employee (I did not catch her name but if they WAMu check the notes on my account they will know who she is), I explained to her my situation (about the local branch not crediting my account completely and I'm in a deadline because of my rate lock expiring for my loan modification), she then told me to hold (again!) so she can get a supervisor. After about a minute, I heard a dial tone, so she supposedly "accidentally" hang up the phone on me. I could not call back because I had to be somewhere by 10:45 am but planned on calling back because I need to get this issue resolved like yesterday!...
...

jaybcee says "Somebody made a mistake, fix it!" about Washington Mutual

On Feb. 9th, I was speaking to Pam Bacci of the Mortgage (Refinance) Division in Chicago of WAMu for us to do a modification of our mortgage. We were told that in order for us to get a better rate, we have to pay down the existing loan amount to the conforming loan amount of $417,000. I then proceeded to do that so on Feb 13th, I went to a local branch in National City CA (#1470) to make the said deposit. The teller, Cynthya, asked me if I had already made a payment for February and since I knew that the monthly payment is automatically taken out of our account on the 1st of the month, I told the her Yes, I have made my payment for this month and I want the whole amount ($14,765.00) to be applied towards my principal so the principal balance should have been $416,999.62. I then explained to her what I intend to do (loan modification). She called a supervisor (I did not catch his name) to make sure that she is doing the deposit correctly and for IT to be applied wholely to the principal.......

jaybcee says "False advertising" about Home Depot online

I signed up for a workshop online with Home Depot and on the day of the supposedly workshop, I went to my local Home Depot (Chula Vista) and was asking around for directions as far as where to go for the workshop. The workshop is suppose to start at 6:30 pm, I got there at 6:20 and no one in the store knew about the workshop and it looked like I was the only that showed up for the supposedly workshop. I waited for about 15 minutes for someone who supposedly knew about the workshop but essentially got tired of waiting and went home. So ever since then, I have not signed up for another workshop for Home Depot. Why would I waste my time and my gas for nothing. Even if they cancelled the workshop, they could have at least e-mailed me, they have my e-mail info or even better - called me on the phone to save me a trip of going out there!...

jaybcee says "Excellent" about Nationwide Insurance

I have been with Nationwide Insurance Company since the 1980's, been loyal ever since! Even in the midst of car accidents, claims for vandalism for the cars or even the pipes bursting inside the home. One phone call to the claims department, an adjustor will call you the same day (if you call them early enough in the day) or they will return your call the next day. How awesome is that! Their rates are reasonable and they give you discounts on multiple car, being a good driver, multiple policies (car and home). Which is not bad because every little bit of savings help. I just hope that this company does not change it's current policies and procedures even if it's bought out by another company. Keep up the good work, Nationwide!...
