Not only are there a wide variety of speeds, the mixer combines even thick mixes without problems.  It also has a handy storage container for all the parts, which attaches to the mixer when not in use. Never have to hunt for the parts again. The speed burst button really has come in handy when baking. If there is a clump it goes right through it.
