jamieresearch says "How did I ever watch TV without this? " about TiVo - Digital Video Recorder

OK, so I never really got what all the hype about Tivo was about. Even though I'm a "techie," I'd always recorded my shows the old-fashioned way -- on a VCR -- and was fine with it. Then my cable company offered a deal that was too good to pass up, and it included a DVR. I liked it just fine, and it worked for me. I moved about 300 miles away, and the cable provider didn't offer DVRs. I decided to suck it up and just buy a Tivo, and lemme tell you, it's WAY more than just a DVR. My favorite feature is that you can plug in a name or whatever and it will find (and if you tell it to, record) every instance with that name in it. I especially like it for musical groups: I get to watch them perform live on shows like "Ellen" that I don't normally watch....

jamieresearch says "Love, love, LOVE these bars! " about General Mills - Fiber One Oats & Chocolate Chewy Bars

I love junk food. Period. And I'm very big on "bars" because they're easy and quick to eat, and I can eat them on the go. I saw these at Target when they first came out. I was walking around the store and was starving; I saw they had a lot of fiber in them and knew that would at least fill me up, so I grabbed a box and ate one. I was suprised at how good it was. Not only did it totally tide me over till dinner, it was DELISH!! I actually eat these when I'm craving something sweet... I satisfy the craving and I get a lot of fiber, besides. And who doesn't need more fiber? If you like chocolate, I would recommend these. They're a tasty, healthy way to get 35% of your daily fiber requirements. I often have one for breakfast and it lasts me a while. They're a bit pricey, but I love 'em. Pair it with a glass of cold skim milk, and you have a great, healthy, satisfying snack!...

jamieresearch says "This is definitely my favorite magazine! " about Real Simple Magazine

A few years ago, I saw an issue sitting in a friend's magazine pile. I picked it up and was hooked immediately. I ordered myself a subscription and have gotten it since. For those of us who aren't Martha Stewart, the magazine gives a lot of ideas that are practical and easy to accomplish. I love the section where readers write in with their most helpful tips about a topic that was published in the previous issue. I will agree that there are a lot of ads, but they're easy enough to get past and they're worth it to get the other good stuff out of the magazine. Love it! —...

jamieresearch says "This is by far the best cleanser I've ever used!" about Origins Plantidote Mega Mushroom cleanser

I have wicked allergies and have always struggled to find a cleanser didn't either completely dry out my skin or that I was badly allergic to. I tried the Origins Plantidote Mega Mushroom cleanser and absolutely loved it. More importantly, I'm not allergic to it! I've been using it for a few years now (I hope I didn't just jinx myself!) and my skin still looks great. It really gets all the gunk off my face, like makeup and the stuff that just lands there from the daily grind. It's a bit expensive, but for me, it's completely worth it!...

jamieresearch says "It really does everything they say it does! " about Magic Bullet High Speed Blender Mixing System

I love my Magic Bullet blender. It really is great for mixing small amounts, and it's great for parties! If I had to say I had a complaint, it's that sometimes the blades can be hard to clean, just like any blender. The good thing is it comes apart fairly easily for cleaning. So far, I've made smoothies, frozen alcoholic drinks and salsa, and it's been great for all of it. —...
