jamfind says "Denise Austin Burn Fat Fast: Cardio Blast: Fun that works!" about Denise Austin: Burn Fat Fast Cardio Blast

When I needed to begin exercising more to lose weight, I was not interested in going to a gym or joining a group. I was too self-conscious and very uncomfortable because I was such a beginner. So, I took a look at a variety of DVDs that I could use in the privacy of my own home in front of a smaller audience (just my children and husband if they happened to walk by). I picked up a DVD by Denise Austin, and I was hooked!

Denise Austin Burn Fat Fast: Cardio Blast is a helpful 50-minute DVD that mixes it up with four different workouts. It's easy not to get bored with this DVD. Always starting with a warm-up, the DVD offers a kickboxing portion, interval drills, some aerobics and a Cardio dance portion. Denise Austin always ends with a cool down. What I like best about this DVD is that Denise Austin is so bubbly and even goofy that I don't feel put off or self-conscious doing these workouts. Granted, she can be a little corny, but I find that appealing. Especially on days...
...

jamfind says "B&D 12V Cordless Compact Drill Gave This Woman the Power!" about Black & Decker Black & Decker 12V Cordless Compact Drill

So, first of all, I have never considered myself a very mechanically inclined woman. I always let my husband complete the home repairs because I just didn't know how to (nor did I care to) complete these jobs. However, when I was setting up my business, I needed to get some repairs done while my husband was at work. Therefore, I was stuck and needed to ask him to show me how to use a drill. His drills were all pretty large and difficult to handle for a beginner like me. I practiced a few times at home, then prepared to bring the drill to my business to get the jobs done myself. Because the drill was so large and fast, and I didn't quite have the control to use it well, I stripped a lot of screws and made a lot of holes in the wall. My husband suggested that I go to the hardware depot and find a drill that I could handle.

I was slightly offended by the idea that I needed a lighter, "easier" drill, but I had no choice. So, I asked the man at the service desk for his input. ...
...

jamfind says "HPJ6480 All-in-One: a great space-saver with many helpful uses." about Hewlett Packard HP J6480 All-in-One

Hewlett-Packard's J6480 All-in-One is a great printer, copier, fax machine and scanner for use in our home. We do use it for some minor, work-related business, but it mainly serves as a convenience in this area. As an ink jet color printer, it gives good copies with the ability to adjust the settings for quality and ink usage. As a copier, it is not a true, toner-using machine. Its copying capabilities are simply printing from a glass panel scanner, so the copying smudges when wet like all printed ink. It is a typical fax machine that hasn't given us any problems, but then again, we don't spend a lot of time faxing. It is a good quality scanner that is compatible with other software that I already had in my computer. One drawback is that it takes a very long time to print photos. However, the quality is excellent, so I guess it's a trade off.

This printer produces fine-quality colors that are very close to what appears on the monitor. The ink isn't very expensive,...
...

jamfind says "For a required class or two, UOP can be worthwhile." about University of Phoenix - Online Individual Courses (MKT)

Although there is much controversy about the quality of a University of Phoenix (UOP) online education, I found that taking one of their classes to be a beneficial, quick way to complete a work requirement. Mind you, the classes are not cheap. The class I took cost about $1,000. However, because I am a serious adult, who genuinely wanted to complete the class to my best ability, I found it to be a worthwhile venture.

As in any educational task, you get out of it, what you put in. Although there was no physical classroom, lectures or one-on-one meetings with the instructor, I still found this to be a helpful experience. Because the class was online, the classroom came in the form of a special forum. If you're not technically savvy, it might be frustrating to "get in" to class each week and navigate through the system. Within the forum, the instructor left reading assignments from a required text that, as in all college classes, students were expected to buy. Students...
...

jamfind says "Pyrex Grip Rite Oblong Dish is versitile, bakes well and more!" about Pyrex Grip Rite Dish

The 3 qt. Grip Rite Oblong Dish from Pyrex is one of the dishes that I frequently find myself reaching for in the kitchen. This 9"x 13" clear glass baking dish has a 3 quart capacity, and like all Pyrex products, it's made of durable glass that can be baked, refrigerated, microwaved and even stands up well in the freezer. This dish features longer grips than usually found in baking dishes this size. I find this especially helpful when sliding it in and out of the oven.

Because it is such a versatile dish, it's great for casseroles, cakes and even small roasts. In the oven, this baking dish heats evenly. It's great for popping dishes in the microwave. At 2", it is not a deep dish. However, it is rather useful when preparing dinner for my family of four. This is also great for cold dishes, too. It's the perfect size of serving a cold dessert to a larger group, like fruit salad or a gelatin dish.

In my experience, Pyrex and other quality baking dishes are rather easy to...
...
