itchymax says "Likely the last remote control you'll ever need to buy." about Logitech - Harmony 550

<p>The Harmony 550 is one of (if not THE) least expensive of the Harmony series of universal remotes by Logitech. But It has almost as much functionality as the most expensive one. Most of the differences are in the extra bells an whistles (like a touch-screen). The 550 will replace all of your remotes to your home theater set-up. Unlike many other universal remotes that require you to enter various codes for each component who's remote you're replacing, and which can become obsolete as new equipment is released, the Harmony gets its remote codes from logitech via a web-like interface when it is connected to your computer. This way, as new equipment is released, the remote codes can be downloaded over your computer, ensuring that this remote will not become obsolete. The Harmony series of remotes basically operate via macros, which, if you've used other programmable remotes, combine multiple operations into the press of one button. Unlike other remotes, these macros are virtually programmed...</p>...

itchymax says "Pretty happy." about Progressive

I've been very happy with Progressive. They almost always have the lowest premiums and even after paying with no problems on an at fault accident, didn't raise my premium very much and have susequently lowered it since it's been a few years since the accident and I've been accident and ticket-free. I deal mainly online w/ them, but on the rare occasion that I've called they have been quick, courteous, and thorough....

itchymax says "A great little camera." about Canon - Powershot SD870 IS Digital Camera

I use the big, bulky, professional 35mm digital SLR's everyday at work. When I'm not at work, I want a nice, small, light camera to carry with me. But, I'm spoiled by the outstanding image quality I get from those big cameras at work. Well I've found my answer. The Canon - Powershot SD870 IS Digital Camera fits easily in my pocket, and it's image quality is on a par with my big "professional" cameras. 8 megapixels means I've got room to crop if needed, or if I want to print a giant 20x24 print, I have no worries about the image falling apart. Point &amp; shoot's have also gotten a lot faster. I can take this camera out of my pocket, turn it on and it will be ready to shoot by the time I get it into shooting position.<br/>If I had to find something to complain about, (and really, it's not really an issue now that I've been using the camera) it would be the lack of an optical viewfinder. Instead of a viewfinder there is a huge, gorgeous, LCD screen on the back. These thing have gotten......

itchymax says "The iPod touch is great, better than I expected." about Apple - iPod Touch

Yes it's a little expensive, and if all you want is a good mp3 player, it' probably not what I'd recommend. But, if you think you might want an iPod Touch, get one. You won't regret it. The "wow" factor is pretty darn high. It's thin, really thin. It's absolutely gorgeous in it's simplicity. The touch screen works great, movies look great on the giant screen. The wireless 802.11g is fast and it just plain works. Email works great with just about any email service you might use. I'd recommend the 16gb over the 8gb, simply because if you plan on putting movies or tv shows on it, you will find that you start running low on space quickly. If you get the chance to play with one in person, do it. That's what finally sold me. Oh, one last thing. Get a case and a screen protector...or at least just the case. The screen is surprisingly durable...the pretty, shiny back not so much....
